Okoye came into the league very young and is still young. Can't deny that our top 2 DTs are injury prone, so we need someone with more experience than a draft pick to join the rotation.

If we are bringing in DTs, I would rather have a run stuffer than a penetrator
True. The Bucs have two DTs that are hitters. But both are medically fragile.

i think most fans like okam and haynesworth because they give size, something okoye doesnt do quite so well.
It's actually somewhat surprising to me.  I remember when he came out, there were some people who were concerned that as he was 6'2", 302 lb at the age of 19, he was going to get too big to really fit in the scheme the Bucs were using at the time.  But yeah, just looking at it, it seems clear that didn't happen.  I mean, he doesn't look frail or anything, but I totally buy the 292 that he's listed at on nfl.com.

We certianly need some depth at the position.  Good be a low risk/high reward signing at the right cost

Amobi is a better run stuffer than pass rusher at this stage of his career. Watching him in Houston that was the criticism, that although he held up good against the run he did not offer the help in pass rushing to go along with Mario Williams they had projected from him or that he had shown his rookie year when he got 5.5 sacks.

I like Okoye. He was very good with the Bears down the stretch. Looks like they have been watching tape on players this year. He's still 24 years old which means his best years are still ahead of him.

Get it done.

I don't think it's a make or break year for McCoy in terms of production, just in terms of health. If he can stay healthy all year, he's already proven to be a good DT and a part of the future of this team.

We'll said. McCoy is disruptive when healthy. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year.

Medically fragile?    I like that term.

If we can sign Okoye at a cheap price, then go for it. McCoy and Price have injury histories and Roy Miller stunk last year.

In fairness Roy Miller play with a torn ligament in his knee all year and toughed it out for us. Im willing to give him another year with a new staff and clean bill of health. Actually Im looking forward to all our DTs having a fresh start and 100% healthy.

I think Marinelli helped this dude out quite a bit.  Would he be as good here?   Who knows.   I would take a cheap one year flyer on him.
