What a boring question, was hoping it would give some insight to what they were thinking. The question is do they have a list of evidence by number.

Question, is it entirely up to the jury how long they deliberate today? Could they stay there until 3 am if they choose, with the judge and both sides having to hang around just in case? Or can the judge step in at some point and hold things off until tomorrow?

You'd link a list of items of evidence with numbers would be a standard item provided to a jury - why would they have to ask for that?

Shouldn't have to.

not sure there is an answer other than to say the judge will likely check with them near the end of the day and then ask them to stay or offer that they can stay if they are close

not always because both sides have evidence lists but all evidence is not admitted, so sometimes just the actual evidence goes back

It would be proactive to have a numerical list in anticipation for the jury.

"Judge will allow jury to work as late as it chooses. "

Quote from Rene Stutzman, the legal reporter covering the trial for the Sentinel.

well, its the logistics that you might not get. During the trial both sides have lists that may have hundreds of pieces of potential evidence and the court reporter or clerk is using them to mark off what is admitted. The jury goes into deliberate right after instructions and likely even before all of the evidence was gathered and brought to the jury room.  If you watched the closings, there so much evidence that sometimes the attorneys cannot even find it all during closings. The evidence on the floor is mixed with non-evidence too during the closing, its not really a big deal, just logistics of handling so much evidence

was it stated that they would deliberate through the weekend if necessary or resume deliberating on Monday?

No clue, was wondering that myself. I assume they'll go through the weekend, it's not something you want to start to dissect and then have to review where you left off a few days later.

Court recessing for the night. This tells me they aren't even close, otherwise they would just stick it out. This also tells me they most likely don't understand that the state hasn't proven a thing, otherwise they wouldn't need more time.

Eh. I think the jury just wants to take the time to make it seem like they actually did care about the case. I think they make the decision around 1pm tomorrow.

He's **CENSORED**ed.  He's going to need to leave the States.  He will be hunted down, there is a whole establishment invested in either his imprisonment or death.
