If someone looks su**CENSORED**ious, he should follow them in his car.  But not exit the car.   That changes everything when he starts following on foot. Then he is a threat to whoever he is following.  If the guy is trying to break in a house, then you call the police.  He is supposed to be an extra set of eyes out there for the law enforcement people.  Not act like a police officer himself.

Agreed. No need to get out of his car once the police were on their way.

Not surprised the kid ran

We're you surprised he doubled back? With that scary stranger?

Joe sounds a little bitter that he attempted to make this about race without knowing it was actually Trayvon's racist comments that would prove him correct. Sorry Joe, can't win them all.

Trayvon stopped to hide with the intent on attacking Zimmerman, that's pretty much fact at this point. He whispered (so that Zimmerman wouldn't know he was hiding nearby) to Diamond that he was about to attack GZ. This is how Diamond was so certain "it was just going to be a fight", as she stated repeatedly throughout her testimony. I just hope this teaches Joe a lesson about wanting someone convicted before the facts come out. He was defending a racist assaulter the entire time, go figure.

Curious as to what the jury makes of Zimmerman's MMA training when you combine it with Good's testimony that the person on top was raining down blows, MMA style. And yes, I realize Good believes he saw a person fitting the description of Martin on top. But two other witnesses believe they saw the opposite. Maybe the prosecution's case isn't as weak as I thought?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/conflicting-testimony-from-neighbors-in-zimmerman-trial/2013/06/28/124f211a-e01c-11e2-963a-72d740e88c12_story.html

The figures shifted to the concrete walkway, and that’s when Good says he saw the dark-clothed person — who he now knows was Martin — straddle the man in red. The figure on top was “raining down blows” and was using moves similar to a mixed martial arts (MMA) combatant, Good said.

Late Friday, the references to MMA took on a new complexity. A physician’s assistant who had treated Zimmerman testified that his medical notes show that Zimmerman had been practicing MMA and training “intensely” in hopes that the exercise would help him overcome difficulties sleeping.

But Good could not affirm a key defense claim: that Martin pounded Zimmerman’s head into the concrete walkway, producing the large bumps visible in photographs of the defendant shown to the jury.

Good’s testimony will be weighed against the memories of two other neighbors, who testified Thursday that the man in red was on top during the struggle. Jenna Lauer recalled a “surreal” scene, with “yelps” of pain morphing into screams for help. She told jurors that the man in red was on top and that it was the figure on the bottom who was pleading for help. Those cries could be heard in the background of a chilling 911 call Lauer made. On that call, the gunshot that ended Martin’s life can be heard.

And Selma Mora, a construction-equipment saleswoman who testified through a Spanish interpreter, said she heard a “soft” crying in pain. The figure in red was on top, she said. What she saw reminded her of a jockey riding a horse.

Do you think everyone takes your viewpoint seriously?    The kid was a class A thug that has been misrepresented from the very beginning.   Portraying him as an innocent skittle buying 12 year old is despikable, repugnant, and a total lie. This whole case has been absurd from the beginning and has been nothing more than a race baiting issue created by the media and festered by the NAACP and others.

"No need to get out of his car once the police were on their way".   and more importantly there was no need for Martin to go after a Neighborhood watch person and attack him.   Which is more egregious?

So someone that is a part of a neighborhood watch unit is not permitted to leave their vehicle?    That is ridiculous!

The pics of Z after the attack show he was getting his ass kicked pretty good.  If Trayvon had been beaten like that the pics would have been leaked all over the world by his family's attorneys and the not-so-honest State's Attorney's in this case.  Trayvon would have been "beaten, tortured and murdered", not just "murdered"

And? Jurors will have to take all of it , including the photos of Z, into account. They'll also have to take into account Good's testimony that he didn't see the person on top pounding the head of the person on the bottom into the sidewalk. Defense is using that to claim Z felt his life was in danger or he was facing great bodily harm. Maybe they agree with what you said. Maybe not. Maybe it doesn't matter? Maybe they'll believe Martin was the aggressor but that Z had other options than to shoot the kid.

BTW, the article is wrong. Lauer didn't see anything that night during the scuffle. And she definitely didn't testify that she saw the one in red on top.

Do you think everyone takes your viewpoint seriously?

Yep, That's what I said. Come on, you can do better than that.

The kid was a class A thug that has been misrepresented from the very beginning.

Keep trying with the thug label. Not surprised.

Portraying him as an innocent skittle buying 12 year old is despikable, repugnant, and a total lie.

Total truth. He was a teenager walking back to his condo. Innocent of no wrong doing on the way back from the store. Repugnant is folks like you trying to justify the shooting by disparaging Martin.

This whole case has been absurd from the beginning and has been nothing more than a race baiting issue created by the media and festered by the NAACP and others.

It was created when Z shot an unarmed teen who was doing nothing wrong before Z decided to play cop. And once they confronted each other, nobody knows exactly what happened.

there was no need for Martin to go after a Neighborhood watch person and attack him.   Which is more egregious?

Nobody knows who started it and you claiming that you is even more ridiculous.

So someone that is a part of a neighborhood watch unit is not permitted to leave their vehicle?    That is ridiculous!

Not allowed? LOL. Try reading what I wrote before responding. Legally, they can do that with no problem. But they are taught not to engage or pursue when they are trained as a NW person. That;s all I said.

Agree.  If Zim never leaves the vehicle, just phones the police, all of this mess never happens.  Maybe as a result of all this, they define some better "rules" for these neighborhood watch cats.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

Crush 'em up then put 'em in a hot bowl of Chilli or soup.

You can adorn them w/ a delicately sliced piece of mouth-watering, sharp cheddar cheese.

Hmm..They are just so delicious.

Then when you're done. It's time to pound the liquor!

Yet you are to be taken seriously when you've made this about race since day one, and without seeing any evidence whatsoever claimed Zimmerman was guilty well over a year ago? My conclusion is based on the facts presented at the trial. Your conclusion is based on Trayvon being black. You bring up people seeing Zimmerman on top without admitting one of those people based it on the 12 year old picture she saw on the news of Trayvon. Again, you're to be taken seriously when you intentionally leave out that kind of detail?

Let's see if you can answer one question logically. Explain to me why Diamond said repeatedly that Trayvon was whispering to her on the phone, and then suddenly out of nowhere changed her story and said he wasn't. Give me one good explanation for that. If she was smart she would have lied and said Trayvon was whispering because he was afraid, and because he was hiding hoping Zimmerman wouldn't find him. She didn't say that though, did she? Nopeeeeeeeeeeee. Now let's hear your spin on why she would change her mind on that matter.

Why should he never leave his car if he witnesses what he believes to be su**CENSORED**ious behavior?   There are neighborhood watch foot patrols in some areas.

"Explain to me why Diamond said repeatedly that Trayvon was whispering to her on the phone,"

What she said was that Martin was talking as if he was out of breath from running. Only after Don (Lost In Space) West included the "out of breath" remark in the form of a compound question did she unwittingly acquiesce. Our beloved Bernie should have been on his toes and objected to the form of the question. But he didn't and the lovely Ms Diamond unaware of West's sly trickiness fell right into his fiendish hands on that one.
