Well as I stated earlier, I think he has enough to worry about already without Vontaze starting fist fights every day.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

Let him try. I doubt he does it again after schiano gets on him.

He wouldkick Schiano's azz, and then get cut.

But Burfict won't fight Schiano.  He is too big for him.

Burfict likes fighting the wee fellas.

Well I just worry you are on the sidelines watching training camp and catch Vontaze's helmet in your grill.

Beatles.

Just a few things I want to clear up.

1. You are talking about Burfict like he is a great player. That he just is a character guy. Thats wrong. He sucks. Mayock himself said the kid was undraftable because of his tape alone.

2. Not only is he a bad player. Hes not an athlete. He scored the worst numbers at the combine of his position and a DT 100 lbs heavier than him outran him.

3. Late round picks are not scrubs like you say they are. There are several good players to be had in the later rounds. If we took Burfict however, he would be one of thos scrubs.

4. Stop watching highlight reels and start reading scout reports.

Exactly right TT.  Been saying that for a minute.

Some people just refuse to listen.

Went to a Buc's practice at Pepin-Rood stadium and saw this kid named LaCurtis Jones. He was like a force of nature, making plays all over the place. He stood out far more than any other player there. But what you couldn't tell from watching was that he was freelancing and not filling his assignment. He was, of course, cut.

This is exactly who Burfict reminds me of.

Illuminator is a good poster. He sticks to his guns and makes good points. Some don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t like that.

Talib is well-liked by his teammates, considered a good teammate and is a very good player on the field.

I don't follow a ton of college football, but it seems like the same things can't be said about Burfict.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Exactly.   Loose cannon on and off the field.

Again though, we're talking late rounds. Who's available by then but scrubs anyway? is it gonna hurt us if a 6th rounder doesn't pan out?

Bad influence on the rest of the rooks.

A little preemptive suggestion don't you think?

Lets all step back for a second and recognize that this team is devoid of talent...especially on the defensive side of the ball.

I am not saying that we need to invest in thugs and a-holes. But in regards to Burfict...I have seen tape on the guy and I was praying to god he would be there at 36. Now its likely he will be there at the 6th round.

Despite the facts that these kids made some stupid mistakes before the draft, does that mean they have been getting into trouble all the time? Carl Nicks got in trouble at Nebraska. Vincent Jackson has a ton of DUIs. Mike Williams had a DUI and was kicked out of Syracuse.

There are plenty of players who make stupid decisions that ultimately cost them a ton of money. But that doesn't mean they aren't hungry to be great at football.

Schiano is a guy that brings responsibility and details into perspective. The guy is a rookie HC we all understand that. But this team is nothing but rookies and 1-2 year players anyways. What difference does it make if we take on a few "bad apples" for the sake of winning.

If you go out and get some high character good talented guys in the first 3 rounds...it allows yourself to take chances on guys in the 5th-6th round who show true promise but screwed up before the draft.

If Schiano can only work with high character individuals from the get-go, then that is just pigeon holing us into expecting only a certain type of player throughout his regime. I am not saying its a bad thing, but we could end up passing on some really good guys due to "character" concerns. Remember...Sapp was no angel coming out of the draft....but he ended up being one of the best Buccaneers in history.

Mike Williams had a DUI?

I read about the Mike Williams incident regarding his trip to Turning Stone Casino.  It was a massive communication breakdown between MW and his coaches...left his cellphone in his aunts car, he was depressed, knew he screwed up, team voted to keep him, etc...

Bucs did work regarding MWs character.

he got arrested his rookie year for a DUI. Granted he was below the legal limit...but he still had alcohol in his system while driving. To me...thats just a case of being lucky, and not actually smart. Still is a DUI in my book.

Doubt he gets drafted.
