Absolutely it would.  The whislte woul dhave blown 2 seconds before impact...

Unneccessary roughness flags would have put LeeRoy in the infirmary.

Sapp's sack of Warner in 2000 on MNF comes to mind.

Sapp bodyslamming Marshall Faulk wasa thing of beauty! And he crushed Chester Taylor as well...

he was even killing dudes who ran out of bounds when he wasn't even playing!

Just...flat out nasty!

This would be a flag nowadays

Driving a QB to the ground... leaving your feet... um yeah it would.

Man, Jaws took some crazy hits in his day from guys like Lawrence Taylor, Selmon, Dexter Manley, Ed Too Tall Jones and Randy White. Surprised he's still walking around.

Found it

I was in Carolina for that. Ronde also got the 20/20 club. I think the score was 20-10 if I remember correctly. Caddy had 2 touchdowns.

I don't know how to link vdeos, but someone might be able to find two hits that stand out to me.  Ricky Reynolds hit on Jerry Rice in the early 90's at the old Tampa Stadium, and Reagan Upshaws hit in Brett Favrein Green Bay in the late 90's....

Java, this sounds right up your alley...

That Clayborne sack on Matt Ryan is the winner for me.

Maybe it's cause I hate the dirty turds that much but the timing of Matt stepping up in the pocket at the same time that Clayborne is at the top speed of his rush...a thing a beauty.

I remember back in late 90's or early 2000's in one of those memorable Monday Night Football games with St. Louis where Sapp finds Marshall Faulk in the backfield picks him up and body slams him down...  I believe causing a fumble.  It was one of those tackles that said, "I OWN YOU".  Loved Sapp for that....

Anybody have footage of that one?

Hell yea! That mnf game was one of the best games I've seen. A real nail biter till the end and Warrick Dunn pulled of a houdini in the end. Great game!
