Romney’s Bain Capital invested in companies that moved jobs overseas

Mitt Romney’s financial company, Bain Capital, invested in a series of firms that specialized in relocating jobs done by American workers to new facilities in low-wage countries like China and India.

During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

You're point? When will people learn than outsourcing must be done in most cases. Would you rather those places keep the work here where Americans want much more money and then the place closes due to low profits? Or keep the work overseas which allows the place to stay open and keep the jobs it has over here?

Simple thought for a simple person. Outsourcing doesn't always take jobs away. It is valuable in cutting costs so places can stay open. Would you rather the place go under or outsource some jobs to save the others?

How many jobs did Obama's business produce in American and Overseas?

Let's put it another way.

Here, smell this dog poop from a German Shepherd.

Now, smell this dog poop from an Alsatian.

Which of the two do you prefer? :o

Same type of dog, same stench.

The difference?

Just the name.

There are plenty of valid criticisms of Romney, but this isn't one of them for me.

This allegation by the folks who brought us BarryTaxCare has been rejected even by his newspaper - the Washington Post.  Just takes a few seconds to check out simple crap.

More reactionary crap. From the same guy that never stops spouting mindless reactionary crap. Over and over and over again.

So predictable you can set your watch by it.

Original thought?

Unbiased view?

Nope, just a steaming heap of  unimaginative pre-programmed babble brought to you by an ordinary mindless twit..

Factcheck.org has a bit of a reputation of being a bit lefty so the fact they poo poo all over this should say something. There's more out there so it might be unimaginative, but it is true.

My point - I have a hard time voting for a guy that was responsible for exporting jobs to China when our own countrymen need work.

Pretty simple, isn't it?

I notice people have a hard time asking why would companies not outsource or come back to the US.

Also with your multiple anti-Romney threads today I am starting to think you don't know much about economics. Lets look at your previous thread about Romney wanting Detroit to be bankrupt. Right now, over $2,000 go to retirement for every vehicle sold. One big problem the big three had to rely on was truck sales because the profit margin was too low for vehicles thanks to unions. If the big three would have packed their bags and moved overseas we would probably be paying less for their cars. As for quality, that is another issue. Yes outsourcing can hurt communities; however, Americans have been the biggest recipients to the low cost of outsourcing....ie. Walmart.

Obama aids oil drilling in Brazil, why not America?

Stimulus Money for Jobs Overseas?

“$1.2 billion to a solar company that’s building a plant in Mexico.”
“Half a billion to an electric car company that created hundreds of jobs in Finland.”
“Tens of millions of dollars to build traffic lights in China.

There are nuances to these stories, as with the Romney 'allegations' but my point is that it works both ways you know.

If you are criticizing Romney for certain actions and say you cannot vote for him because of them, and Obama is doing almost the same thing, it narrows the field a bit is what I'm saying.
