I have no dog in this fight(pun intended) and I'm not a fido lover so i can't wrap my head around the anger where Vick is concerned. When this all came to light, i was more shocked than disgusted.

No, that's more like the kind of dog they used to pick up to train their fighting dogs with. They tape their mouths shut to insure they can't damage the fighting dog, then let the other dog tear them to pieces, probably while they stand around laughing. A real winner, your hero Mr. Vick.
