TRUEBLOOD LIKELY TO START AT GUARD SUNDAY

The Buccaneers have struggled running the football in 2012 and some of the issues coincide with the loss of right guard Davin Joseph who was injured during the preseason. The coaching staff appears determined to find a solution, and lineup changes are being considered with veteran tackle Jeremy Trueblood possibly inserted at guard beginning this week.

I think most of us, if he starts, hope he impresses the hell out of us and we can get back to running to the right side effectively.

Others will remain negative and expect the worst. Nothing new there.

Isn't it quite possible to do both?

I mean, there are obvious negatives to be discoursed here.  We know them by now (at least I know you know that I know that you know that, right?)

But I am going to root for him, he cannot possibly be any weaker than Larsen, the human sieve.

I already know the negatives that go along with Trueblood. I don't need to discuss them over and over and over like so many people on these boards love to do. What new is there to say? Nobody knows what he'll look like at guard, if that happens.

Like I said, I'll hope for the best until I see otherwise. I enjoy watching my team play every week. Even if it's sometimes tough to take the result.

I gots a good feelin' 'bout this one.  Trueblood's biggest problem has always been slow feet. They're quick enough for guard, and he's a mean sumofa**CENSORED**, the enforcer type. I wanna see it.

Wouldn't it be ironic as hell if Trueblood excelled at the RG position and made the Pro Bowl and the Bucs decided to cut Joseph and his big contract at the end of the season and they re-signed Trueblood? After all, the reason that Trueblood is even on the team is because Joseph insisted that they re-sign his buddy last year for Joseph to sign. I know the chance of this playing out is slim to none but it would be funny though.

Where did I say I didn't want them to turn it around? I would be thrilled if our coach wasn't an idiot and we could win more games, but I'm grounded in reality.

If you want to get all rah rah about Jeremy Trueblood starting at guard, go right ahead. I mean, do you seriously....have you watched Trueblood at all over the last 6-7 years?

Maybe you're right Joe, and I've just been looking at it all wrong. Maybe trueblood just completely sucks at RT(beat out by a UDFA with almost zero experience ever) and all he needs is to change to RG to be a pro bowler. I don't know how I missed that logic.
