Logan Ryan and Khaseem Greene are probably two guys Schiano would really want from his former team.

Lots of factors involved, here.  The main one being the Big East sucks something fierce and Rutgers schedule is the 106th toughest schedule in the country.

Schiano is a defensive guy.   He has the worst defense in the NFL (or close to it).   If you want to give anyone credit, give Sullivan credit.

He is the HC and deserves all of the credit/blame that comes with it.

He absolutely does. He may not call the plays, but he does set the table for how the coordinators approach games. I posted once before that he sells out for the run almost to a point of fault. His theory must be that even though the Bucs do not have the corners to cover people, the more times the ball is in the air, the more opportunities there are there to get the ball back. Though nauseating, it is "less" painful than watching teams run it down our throats even with 8 in the box.

you've been in a cave for the Bucs' 2012 season?

Quit yer trolling. We had the worst defense in the league last year. It takes a little more than one half season to turn a turd like that around, but I'm sure you could admit that if you would be honest instead of trying to be a clown.

Last year the offense sucked too.   Funny how that was able to turn around with Sullivan, but a defensive minded guy like Schiano can't do anything with the D even when he uses the #7 pick in the draft on a safety and their 2nd round pick on a linebacker to help it out.

Not to belittle what Rutgers is doing, but it was time for a change there. Not so much as culture, but voice. That said, IMHO the conference in general isn't that strong this season. Rutgers is good, but not really any different than some of its three or four-loss predecessors.

4/21/2013 Two thirds of the Earth is covered by water. The other third is covered by Revis.

I'm looking at overall sucess, before, during, and after.

Rice came from there and he is one of the better rbs in the NFL. Before schiano got there, they were an awful college team. And now, if there is any more proof needed, the guy is helping the bucs become a winning team again. When many people expected a far worse season.

Say what you will about schiano, but he's a fighter and a team builder and we desparately needed a HC like that. that much shouldn't be argued.

They have one good player in Dri Archer, yeah he would probably be a Heisman candidate if he was on a better team.
