Orvlosky's career numbers:

http://www.nfl.com/player/danorlovsky/2506481/profile

Comp %: 58.5, TDs: 14, Ints: 12, Yards: 2,931, Avg YPA: 6.2

You can't ask more out of a backup QB to be honest.  He definitely isn't a Curtis Painter or Josh Johnson that is for sure.

Orlovsky is a horrible NFL QB.
I wouldn't go that far.
How far would you go?

Well if Glennon isn't at least twice as good as Josh he doesn't deserve to be Josh's backup.

Watched a lot of youtube on glennon last few days, and I'm definitely intrigued by the potential, but he probably needs at least a year of clipboarding to learn the offense / catch up with the speed of NFL defenses. Also don't like his odds against free blitzers, so his pass protection calls better be rock solid if/when he does come in
He's got the arm, and supposedly the smarts, but you are spot on about the speed and complexity at this level.
Biggest questions are, will disguised coverages confuse him? Will he stare down receivers like they are Eva Longoria? Will pressure make his feet look like a Dancing with the Stars episode?
Glennon is not Freeman.

Oh yeah. I used to be a big Freeman homer, until one day when i was watching a game and saw Freeman drop back on a 3rd down play and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt  that he was going to throw and incomplete pass before the ball ever left his hand.  Then I started noticing how in virtually every game there would be long stretches where i knew in the pit of my stomach we were going to have a 3 and out (barring a nice run) even before the 1st play was ran...Freeman gets into these funks where he literally cant do $hyte. If it was once and a while, then who cares, but he does it in almost every game and these funks last like half the game.  I just couldn't deny it any longer.  Freeman has the physical ability...Free's probs are all psyche related, that and the fact that he's inherently an inaccurate passer.

Much like I said earlier. Freeman lacks the mental makeup. In Schianospeak it's "needs to improve decision making".
Regardless he'll start and play most of the season, but the hook is much shorter.
We've endured two long skids.
Only the Atlanta game saved another season ender.

Josh Johnson may have been a decent backup and West Coast offense.
If you're looking for shots downfield, it's why Barkley and Naasib fell into the 4th.
