Sure, let's spend millions on hiring designers and  creating new advertising to switch to something else when we were already first.  We could do that instead of asking the Glazers to spend a couple of those millions to lock up free agents.  Sounds like a GREAT plan!

No, but spending money on new uniform designs and signing players both come out of the Glazers bank account.  If they spend say... $1 or $2 mil on redesign, that's $1 or $2 mil less they would have to spend toward salary cap, which may make them hesitant to write out player checks.
