I'd be shocked if we saw Myers before July or August unless he signs a team friendly deal like Longoria did.   Just like Jennings sat in AAA even though we needed him badly.

I don't know, if Myers is spanking the ball in Durham, I wouldn't be surprised to see him called up around the same time they called up Longoria - maybe a little later like May.  And Longoria didn't sign his team-friendly deal until after he was called up to the Pros.

May would definitely be the best-case scenario.  Later in the year is more likely.

Longo signed the deal pretty soon after he came up.  My guess is they were pretty sure they were getting it done.   Jennings was doing well at AAA and we were desperate for an offensive jump start and they waited until late July.    Maybe if Myers is absolutely crushing it they bring him earlier, but I'd be pleasantly surprised

If he is crushing the ball and the Rays lineup is struggling , they will be forced to do something. Friggin cheapskates.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

You would think, but they left Jennings down until it was almost too late (if the Red Sux didn't collapse it would have been too late) and they left Price down in 2008.

Rule change, the fake to third throw to first is now a balk apparently.

Rays signed Kelly Johnson. I'm not sure how Loney/Johnson/Escobar are expected to jump start an offense, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Kelly Johnson could rake at one point.  Not sure how he'll fit into the line-up, but he's a good depth signing.

To add, Montgomery and Odorizzi are all in the top 30. Both pitchers need some minor tune ups but I'd leave it to the Rays to fix mechanical issues.

You guys got him for next to nothing as well. Rays won the trade big time.
