I could see that. Midseason though and you can plug in Wil Myers hopefully.

Also could still see a DH signing somewhere. We need Srod in the utility role on the bench.

I rather have Zobrist start at 2B and find someone to play RF. Rodriguez is an utter disappointment as an everyday player.

Offensively, I agree.  But SRod is an excellent defensive second baseman, good bunter, and excellent baserunner.  That's Joe Maddon's type of guy.

If they can sign a DH, then Joyce would slid into RF with Zobrist moving to 2B.  Also, Wil Myers will probably be along in a couple months to play one of those OF positions.

And JP Howell signed with LA.  I would imagine they'll try to use Mike Montgomery and/or Alex Torres to replace Howell's production in the pen.

no **CENSORED**

If only you weren't so ignorant to know that there are other options.  Your radio buddies will help you out soon enough, nimrod.

If they can sign a DH

That ain't gonna be Lance Berkman.  He signed for $11M w/the Rangers.

I cringe at the thought that SRod could be an everyday player again especially if it is in the 6th spot.  Maybe he'll surprise me.   Don't think we will see Myers before July unless he signs an extension like Longo did.

Ditto.

What's up with Michael Bourn, Delmon Young, Ryan Sweeney, Grady Sizemore? Any chance we can swindle our way into getting a reasonable contract with one of these dudes.

Michael Bourn must be asking for huge money after seeing what Philly paid BJ, because they visited w/Bourne first.

Not sure how much Grady has left.  That dude played the game hard.

Delmon would be interesting, to say the least.
I know Delmon isn't the best teammate in the locker room but the guy mashes lefties.

I'd be open to it.  I'm not sure if Friedman and Maddon would.

That would be interesting - and make for a darn nice lineup...

I would absolutely take Delmon back.

Berkman's contract is a joke. That just **CENSORED** on our hopes of softening the DH market and getting a deal.

Not bad, but they could use a little more pop in the lineup.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"
