lightning played an energetic game, and won.  Cooper watched from the owner's box

To Vin - we had talked about consistency within the organization.  Read a report that Cooper advised the Lightning his team did not fit the needs of Boucher's 1-3-1 so he did not use it.

They played their best game in a while yesterday. Cant wait to see how they play on Friday with Coop behind the bench.

Pens get our old cup nemesis Iginla. Easily the favorites right now. Although Chicago has a tough team.

I dont think they quit under Boucher. They just lost too many games and eventually that loses its flavor. Need to make a change. Boucher will be a good coach somewhere. He just wore out his welcome after they were losing a lot and in the same fashion. It gets old.

Bolts just traded Conacher for Goalie Ben Bishop. As much as I love the feisty Conacher, You can find a winger in the draft or free agency a lot more easily than a goalie (as you can see by the Lightning's other failed attempts). You have to give up something to get something. If Bishop can be the guy and Lindback a good backup, then our goalie position is set for years. A good goalie can win you the cup (Khabibulin) but (as much as I like him) Conacher is replaceable.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

After starting hot, Conacher has kind of cooled off as of late.  I think Yzerman traded him while his stock was at its peak.  Let's hope Bishop works out.

Losing to Florida the other night didn't help our playoff chances.  The South division is so bad, the Lightning are only 6 points out of 1st place.

Bishop looking great in his debut. If the Lightning can just keep teams to 3 goals or less per game they'd be a force.

the real test of fandom is how fanatical you are about a franchise, even when the team is crappy.....anybody can like a winner

This team is heading in the right direction. These young players are really good. If they find some young D to go with this group it's gonna be a real fun team to watch. May take a year or two but to expect this team to contend right away is asking a bit much. But they are heading in the right direction. Thanks to SY ability to find young talent.

Incredible performance by St Louis.

Is this his last season as a Bolt - and would he make NHL HoF?
