With the 13th pick of the 2013 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select.....

Xavier Rhodes, Cornerback from Florida State. He stands 6'2" 215lbs and he excels in bump and run man coverage. He is very physical and has the potential to be a #1 shut down CB, with the added value that his size and physicality would allow him to be a stud Free Safety if things didn't work out at CB for any reason.

In the second round the Bucs select.....

Wide Reciever and kick returner Stedman Bailey from West Virginia. He stands 5'10" 200lbs and has amazing hands. He is a shifty cat like slot receiver, but he is so much more. He plays very physical and can line up on the outside as well. Has shown a knack for catching deep balls verse taller CBs. Very Steve Smith like.

In the 3rd round the Buccaneers select.....

Tight End Gavin Escobar out of San Diego State. Escobar is 6'6 255lbs. He is a dual threat tight end that is better as a receiver, but does well as a blocker too. Plus, he is an artist....so he is awesome.

With the Bucs first of two 4th round picks they select.....

Defensive Tackle Brandon Williams out of Missouri Southern State. He is a mountain of a man at 6'2" 335lbs, but there's not much fat there. He has excellent burst for a man that size, and he has heavy violent hands. If he makes it this far, he could be a real steal. Real good, humble, hard working country kid from a small school. Tons of upside.

With the second 4th rounder aquired from the Patriots for Talib, the Bucs select....

Offensive Tackle Menelik Watson from Florida State. Watson is 6'5" 320lbs. He is raw. He has only played 20 games of football in his life. He grew up playing basketball in England, but was is a natural. He's huge, but as you might expect from a basketball player, he is very athletic and nimble. Outstanding raw prospect that Bob Bostad could do amazing things with.

With our 5th round selection, the Buccaneers grab up.....

Arkansas running back Dennis Johnson. At 5'8" 215lbs, Johnson has a similar build to our own Doug Martin. He has a wicked stiff arm and runs defenders over on a regular basis. His feet move incredible fast, he has great balance and short area quickness. Besides being a solid runner, he has great hands, excels in pass protection, has broken records as a kick returner, and only had two fumbles in his entire college career.

In the 6th round the Bucs select......

Miami cornerback Brandon McGee. He's 5'11" 200lbs. He's had an up and down career but shows the ability to be very good either as a CB or a FS.

With the draft winding down in the 7th, the Buccaneers use their final pick of the draft to select....

Oregeon outside linebacker Michael Clay. Clay is an exciting player, but his size hurts his draft stock. He is 5'11" 225lbs. There is talk of him become a safety, and he might be able to do just that, but they said the same think about Lavonte David last year. All I know is the kid can play football.

Thanks for separating your mock draft from the rest of them. I, too, feel that you're a little too good to be included with everyone else.

Haha. My bad....fixt.

Not a fan of McGee huh? I'm not totally sold myself. I really like everyone else in my mock, but McGee is the one guy I can see changing. Likely a place holder until I can find a late round pick I like better.

i like Watson and unlike another raw athlete that everyone loves(Ansah), Watson won't cost a 1st rd pick.  This is where a project type guy with upside should go.  I dont think Rhodes is a high 1st rd pick though and that is a bit too much reaching for a need for my taste.

I'm not big on what I've seen of Bailey, either.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Pass on spending a second on a WR.

It would be nice to have a good slot, but I wouldn't put a 2nd towards it. Simply because who is he going to take touches from and actually make more impact than? I mean to truly be valuable as a 2nd I think he would need to get the ball a lot, and with VJ, Mike, Martin, and hopefully a bigger threat at TE, I just don't see the justification to adding a slot receiver in the 2nd.

Give me a late rounder or an UDFA in the slot, where most teams get there slots.

Also, I like Watson, but he won't be available that late. He is going to fly up draft boards with his athleticism and raw potential.

Not really a draft I would be satisfied with considering I don't think Watson would be there in the 4th.

To each his own ts, but we had one of the worst 3rd down conversion rates in the league. A really good slot has tons of value Imo.
