The Panthers got it right with the Kuechly pick.   I notice they aren't able to get him in the re-draft.    The Bucs sure screwed up with the Barron pick though.

Barron will be a probowler year after year. The me me me  now now now generation on this board expect too much too soon. Barron will be a crucial piece to the foundation of this defense for the next decade.

Even of this were true....it means nothing. Davin Joseph had a terrible year in '11 and was still named to the pro bowl.

I honestly hope Barron develops into a safety that can make an impact like Ed Reed has, but all his missed tackles and inefficiencies in the pass game give me little hope that he will be anything more than solid.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

I feel like Barron will get better. He probably wasnt worth 7th overall pick but I think he will be a solid player for us and without him we were left a whole at that position. Grimm was a question mark at the time coming off an injury. Safety is important in Schianos system. He was a stud coming out. Its ok going with Barron I think. I just hope he improves after his rookie year which is always possible. No need to write this kid off so soon. Even if he did fall short of expectations in his first year.

I am all for giving him [barron] another season before piling on the dude. Lets see how he looks in 2013.

\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\"

At the time, I wished we would have taken Stephen Gilmore instead of Barron. Now....I'm not a Barron hater, but I still rather have Gilmore.

Kirkpatrick for me.

Would our pass defense have been that bad had we let Ahmad start? If we take Kuechly instead of Barron, our front 7 is almost set for a decade.  Atleast our LBs would be set at minimum.  Granted Barron was a rookie, and I don't think we should give up on him just wondering how bad it would've been had we let Ahmad step in next to Ronde.

OR

Kuechly, Martin and Janoris Jenkins with our first three picks. Again, this only happens if Coach Schiano looks past Janoris' weed habit, which probably would never happen in real life. I'd take these three over Barron, Martin and David. Weed habit aside, Janoris is the best pure cover CB that came out last year. Yeah yeah, we just traded.a guy like that to NE. Lol

Carlos Dunlap instead of Brian Price in 2010 Trade up for Aldon Smith instead of Adrian Clayborn in 2011 Vontaze Burfict in 2012

Wow. You'd take Jenkins over David? That's crazy man.

Hell, I wanted Kuechly with our 1st last year...but given what we know now, I would much rather have David than LK.

Read what I posted again, J.

I'd take Kuechly, Martin AND Janoris over Barron, Martin and David.

Not just one player over another. Its about the sum of the three over the sum of the other three, for me.

IF we had chosen Kuechky first, I'd go with Janoris instead of David. But that also assumes Janoris is still available after we trade up. I forget if he would have been. Lol

EDIT: Burfict also enters the equation in this redraft scenario. A trio of Kuechly, Foster and Burfict would have been pretty cool to have. But like Jankris, his off field issues would have to be ignored by Schiano for that to be a realistic possibility.
