Any chance revis and his agent would fight that trade? Idk the legalities of it, but I'm assuming revis wouldn't want to go to the browns. No one ever does.

No team is gonna trade for MEvis absent a new deal....therefore, he controls where he goes.

I thought Lovie said he wanted quickness & speed, even at the QB position?

I think if we were going to get Revis, it would have happened by now.Tomorrow at the very latest we should hear something.

why tomorrow?

people are not realizing all this bull about a deadline is trying to get leverage, both teams have used the media to make this happen, their is no deadline this week, The Jets want to make sure what their getting is enough for Revis and we don't want to give up too much and I love what Dom is doing, the real deadline is next week before the draft, it would only take 24 hours for us to get Revis in town to give him a physical and sign a contract like bringing in a free agent for a visit, I expect the talks to heat up this weekend and early next week and if it happens I would say next Tues/Wednesday could happen earlier, no idea, no one knows

Really a sign this is moving forward is if we get permission, which we don't have as best I recall, to talk to Revis. There is no way anyone is dumb enough to trade without having a deal in place and not just a general agreement of figures because the structure of this deal and any potential outs will be critical.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

I saw somewhere that Revis and Jackson have the same agent. Maybe they can cut some corners.

Valid point.

They, afterall, can't make him sign a deal with another team, and no team will "rent" him out for only a season for a first (even if they're close).

However, if your words have truth, what stops him from pointing fingers at what team he wants to go to? Greed? Idzik?

I know if I were him, and they threatened me with the Browns, I'd take a paycut to go elsewhere. Hopefully his version of the browns is not Tampa bay.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

If we don't get a deal done for revis, our secondary wont improve from what It was last year. I'm hoping for a deal in the next few days
