Yea they are trying to win now. That effort alone should make fans happy for now. The front office has done its job the last couple of years Id say.

Revis is 10 times better than any player we could pick at #13 . Success.

Fail. You miss the point. We could have a player at #13 AND Revis by this time next year. Just need patience.

For the trade to be a success we have to WIN the Super Bowl this season. Otherwise what was the point of trading for him instead of waiting for him to a be UFA.

There will always be people who whine. We get the best CB in the NFL and people are still complaining. Unreal.

How do you know we would get him in FA? In Free Agency, Revis has the choice to go to whoever he wants. We may offer the most money, but that doesn't guarantee that he'd come here.

I feel like it is going to make me cringe too.  I hope we get the Jets 3rd or at least flip second round picks.  We still need depth and a DT starter.

Because he'll go where the money is. You're lying to yourself if you don't think he would go the highest bidder. And who else was beating down the Jets down for Revis that would offer him huge money? I'll wait...

The word patience gets you fired in the NFL.

I'm guessing the 1st and 3rd round picks this season, a 4th next season, and Blount.

There is no 90% he comes here. There are multiple teams with the money to make it happen.

Agree. Your taking a gamble either way. At least this gets you the player you want. I also agree that he is better than anybody we will get at 13. Hell #13 is a risk in its own way.

....of course none of those teams seemed interested in paying him what he wants now hence why we are the only dance partner he has.

In fact, no team seems all that interested in paying ANY CB what Revis wants which is why the franchise tag figure is way, way below the $15m reported - I'm also seeing %50m guaranteed as part of the contract. The pick cost isn't what is deterring people it is the salary cap figure and value proposition he offers.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

But yet none of them interest in a trade?
