This is what I think about the Glazers being cheap...

I consider myself to be the driving force behind getting Revis here and I don't think holding out is a real threat. His guaranteed money in a future deal will never be enough to get rid of 16 million per year.

Interesting, I just saw this on twitter:

Darrelle Revis @revis24

Thanks to Spoolios for all he did in getting me to Tampa! #Bucnation

Bump.  600 pages or bust.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

I think what I mean by  80% is that he has enough greatness to still be a VERY worth it signing. You still can't replace the leadership, and the things he can still do even at a slightly lowered level.

Just trying to be positive in the event he IS hurt.

This space for rent....*sigh* I trusted you coach.

No need to sugar coat it or make excuses Beetles. If he isn't 100% the player he was before the injury, it was a bad trade. Period. Just cross your fingers and pray he comes back fully.

Even if he's at 80%, he's still better than anything we've got on the roster or anyone we could have brought in this year.  Is 80% worth 16 mil? No, but again, still better than anything we've got.  And who knows, by this time next year he could be at 100%.  Would you still say it was a bad trade if this were the case?

95% of the league is "better than anything we got"   ;D

As long as he fully recovers, it will be a good trade. He doesn't have to be 100% this season though. It could be 2014 before we see the old Revis. I didn't mean he had to be 100% immediately. I should have explained my opinion better.

I dunno how one can feel comfortable with tying up 16 million of cap space with a player who's only 80%...because he's better than what we already have?

He's been rehabing his ass off . I'd be shocked if he didn't come back 100% .

What if revis comes back at 80% and we win a superbowl? I'd say good trade.

What if Revis gets suspended for Adderall usage? What if Josh quits to pursue his dream of becoming the next King of Pop? It could happen...

Revis's work ethic and time between the injury will make a big difference. . I think that he'll be at about 95% by opening weekend, but that his 95% now is better than his old 100%. Crazy talk, I know

All this percentage talk is so stupid. He's a person, not a math problem. He can either move well enough to do his job at an elite level, or he can't.
