We all know he hates the "Muscle Hampster" which is pretty lame. Why can't we just drop the hampster part of it. Just chop it to muscle which fits him and should make the dude happy. I can hear Deckerhoff saying it now.  " Muscle breaks into the back field, muscle to the 20, muscle to the 15, muscle to the 10, 5 TOUCHDOWN TAMPA BAY!! Doug Martin with an amasing run..."

Horrible. Dougernaught is the best i've heard, but muscle hampster is stuck with Doug the rest of his football life, get used to it folks.

Nicknames aren't always given to be accurate or ironic. Sometimes they're given because the guy said something stupid, or because he looks like Donkey, or a giraffe or a pirate, or a muscular hamster. Sometimes the nickname is for the benefit of others.

I know one thing for certain, the moment he said he hated it was the moment he cemented it as his nickname forever.

You can't force nicknames ....ones that stick do so natually and of thier own accord ....like the Muscle Hamster.
