I'd wish we'd shock the world and sign Mike Wallace...that would be too clutch

can he play corner?
Nope but he can play the slot, has elite speed this team hasn't seen in years, and would be one hell of a weapon for Freeman....

First priority is to fix the D.  Everything else this offseason is gravy.

though they might not be a splash player like they were last season, instead landing sound starters without sexy names.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

There's still a need for sound starters on this team.

Turn the page.

I fully expect them to spend. If not, it's a very bad signal to fans.

having Nicks and Jackson restructure indicates they will, right?

It's another indicator that they could possibly go on another spending spree, sure.

Gotta keep some $$$ for Freeman's next contract, as well.

There are some guys next season they could let go, even if they sign him halfway through the season and go over cap. In theory, they could spend it all this offseason and still retain josh by restructuring others and letting others go in next seasons off season.

They could clear it up towards season's end by letting them go. I'm not sure about cap penilties though.

Still a very big "if".
