He types before Brads has even made his "argument".

he is a 7th Day Adventist who doesn't believe in evolution and takes the Bible literally.
Atheists only Bradentonian?
Because believing in God makes him an extremist. Don't you know? Duh!
he has not shown the ability to think rationally about the world we inhabit.
Quote from: bradentonian on February 19, 2013, 09:01:40 PM he has not shown the ability to think rationally about the world we inhabit. fair enough, thanks for posting. On the part above, do you think he is thinking rationally about the world we inhabit when he is in surgery or diagnosing a patient? I mean, aren't people capable of separating their professional lives from their personal beliefs? I think people do that every day, in every walk of life.I also don't think a President is going to change Congress . . . the guys who pass the laws . . . but I get where you're coming from, at least to the extent that it is not an uncommon view.

The greater the power of executive orders etc. the more this is a concern.

That is where the big money is going behind , and Johnny-come-latelys like this doctor will get investigated and then systematically torn down. Thanks, and I don't disagree but I was asking Brads why it scared HIMBecause believing in God makes him an extremist. Don't you know? Duh!I'm sorry, but this isn't about simply "believing in God". There are lots of people out there that believe in God that don't think that the earth is only 6,000 years old and that dinosaur bones are a hoax. If you are going to criticize Bradentonian, at least do so on the actual merits of his argument.Ever heard of satire? My apologies. if you are going to satirize Bradentonian, at least do so on the actual merits of his argument.

I personally think the guy showed a lack of class by using the National Prayer Breakfast to score political points against the president.
I personally think the guy showed a lack of class by using the National Prayer Breakfast to score political points against the president. There are any number of venues that he could do that. It made him look petty, IMO.
CBW has the right of it. Fundamentalism like that is scary to me. You've got someone whose job is to make decisions and influence lawmakers, and he has not shown the ability to think rationally about the world we inhabit. Not only that, but he's proud to admit it. This is not the kind of person we want influencing our laws. That's how you end up in a "sharia" situation. Just my personal opinion.

Do you think it is possible for one to be a member of a religion that believes in a God and still be President? Oh, to CBW - not the least bit interested in your thoughts about what Bradentonian thinks. Just to avoid confusion.
Btw, can you "impersonally" think? I know you claim many talents
