Greg Schiano was voted the coach that player's would least like to play for in a mid season poll of CURRENT PLAYERS last year, which is most remarkable considering he hadn't even been in the NFL for a full season yet. Now fast forward to free agency. We were rumored to be linked to several free agent CB's. Sean Smith, Brent Grimes, Keenan Lewis and more.

We also know that Dominator wanted to re-sign our top CB, EJ Biggers, but he was never given the chance. The question is, why are these players signing elsewhere without even visiting One Buc?

The answer is really simple.  Coaches like Schiano were weeded out of the NFL decades ago. This is the reason why. It's because with the advent of free agency,  teams are vying for available players. Today's players don't want to play for this kind of coach, let alone deal with him on a daily basis.

Bennett and Biggers didn't give us a chance to sign them.  Neither did Smith,  Lewis,  or Grimes. Grimes is on the verge of signing with CLE for gods sake and he isn't even considering visiting One Buc from all indications.

Some of the fans love Schiano because of his style, but my question to these fans is how is Dominik supposed to sign a free agent CB when he can't even get any of them to visit?

It is a fact that coaches with his style have been weeded out decades ago.

There was recently a discussion about whether the Bucs were going to learn the lessons from previous mistakes in free agency.

WTF they haven't learned the lessons from mistakes made decades ago.

Are you somehow trying to compare Schiano to THOSE coaches?

Didn't seem to bother Goldson. He came to Tampa first and never left. Hmmm....

Friday night and the reaper is crying.

Dashon Goldson is a masochist then.

If Schiano scares away mediocre players like Lewis, Smith, and Grimes that would get overpaid, then I like the Schiano effect.

Only players that wouldn't want to play for Schiano are lazy immature bums. Real men that have a real work ethic don't have a problem. Seems like a good effect.

Unfortunately that is a typical response from you. Did we sign him to the largest contract in NFL history for a safety?

So I guess we will be fine as long as we are willing to pay above market value.

The rest of the signings are fringe players who probably had no other options.  I see this a workable blueprint going forward?

Not that I expect you to engage in an actual football conversation.  I guess it's easier to poke fun at Grimmy than it is to face reality.
