Dashon Goldson is a masochist then.

If Schiano scares away mediocre players like Lewis, Smith, and Grimes that would get overpaid, then I like the Schiano effect.

That is great.  Enjoy your season with Eric Wright Larry Johnson and Anthony Gaitor playing CB.....OH I ALMOST FORGOT MYRON LEWIS. He is sure to get some playing time at this rate.

Grimm-  "being a leader sometimes means pissing people off" Colin Powell.

Seriously, Rah was a player favorite and where did that get him?  The book is still out on Shiano, but you use some pretty weak data (twitter, assumptions) for your hypothesis that people do not want to play for him.  Arguably, with Shiano as coach we have made 3 of the biggest splashes in free agency ever.  Even if I give you credit that all the players that signed elsewhere we were interested in, we do not know the biggest variables:  did we make an offer and was it the best one.  Lastly, you say coaches like Shiano are no longe in the NFL.  Is he that much different than bellichek, coughlin, and the harboughs before their Super Bowl titles and appearances?

Which of my points were nonsense. Let's play fact check boys and girls. These type of coaches weeded out decades ago......check

No free agent cb has even visited 1buc......check.

Top cb Biggers signs elsewhere without giving us a chance to match. ......check.

Schiano's approach is nothing like Shanahan's or BB's to be honest.  The closest is Coughlin, but yeah a lot of players do not like playing for him, and Schiano is in the same mold.

What a difference a year makes. Do you guess the word is now out about our coach?

Players do talk.

How is he not close to BB? Schiano is very close to Bill with the way they run practices. Bill is the most no nonsense coach in the NFL. I don't want players in Tampa that can't take working hard for the Millions they get.

I would compare him to a younger Coughlin. Coughlin actually changed his style BEFORE he started winning Championships.

IIRC Strahan and a few other players went to Coughlin and told him that he needed to change his style because nobody wanted to play for him. And he did.

BB prep is way different than Schiano's in that it isn't necessarily about toes on the line more about X 's and O's.  Most NFL veteran coaches have "tough" practices but BB's preparation and in game adjustments distances himself from Schiano because they diverge on these criteria.   Playing for BB is mentally demanding while for Schiano/Coughlin teams it is more physically demanding.

The same people hating on Dom for not signing a fa cb fail to understand that in order to sign a player,  he has got to WANT to play for your football team.

In order to sign a player, he has to visit your facility.

Those are two qualifications that we can't seem to get past in order to make something happen.
