If Geno Smith drops to us at 13, would you take him?

Are you saying there is no way he drops to 13?  It appears to me the teams needing QBs this year are trading for free agents.

I'd be shocked if he made it past the Eagles!

Jaguars are taking him #2. Makes too much sense for them

I say there's no way he's there at 13.

If he is still there at 13, it comes down to what the team thinks about Freeman. If they genuinely think he can be the answer, I'd say try to trade the pick to someone that wants Smith. If they aren't sold on Freeman and do like Smith, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Won't happen in a million years. Would be WAY too much of an upset.

I think there's no way he gets to 13, but if he does, I think there's a better than average chance he's taken with that pick, be it the Bucs or another team.

I really think Geno is gonna be a bust at this point, so no. Trade down with whoever wants him.

If Geno Smith drops to us at 13, would you take him?

Ask yourself a question. When was the last time a QB class in any draft failed to yield at least one QB in the top 13 picks. Geno Smith is the best prospect. Highly doubtful a QB goes before him and highly doubtful he falls to #13

Ask yourself a question. When was the last time a QB class in any draft failed to yield at least one QB in the top 13 picks.

1997 when the best QBs coming out were Jim Druckenmiller, Jake Plummer and Danny Wuerffel.   Druckenmiller was taken at #26 overall that year.   Bad pick by the 49ers even at 26.

1996 no QB was taken in the first round and Tony Banks was the first QB picked in the 2nd round that year.

1988, no QB was taken until the 3rd round (Chris Chandler)

Some years, the QB's are not any good.   This draft is one of them.  Then again, this draft isn't much good for the other positions either.   Terrible, weak draft.   I think the Bucs should trade all of this year's picks for picks in next year's draft if they can.

I really wouldn't be surprised if two QBs go before the #13 pick.

I actually think Geno And Barkley will both be solid QBs in the NFL. I don't think we can take either unless one falls to the second round. The upgrades for most of our weak positions will hopefully be addressed this year and if Freeman sucks then 100% of Schiano and Dom's (or whoever the GM is) focus will be on a new QB for 2014. If it came to that, at least the new QB will be inheriting a talented team. 2013 still belongs to Freeman but there will be no excuses anymore
