How does Greg Schiano really feel about Bucs QB Josh Freeman? Why would it be better for Tampa Bay to wait until the 2014 draft to select a QB? What was the real reason why DT Roy Miller wasn't re-signed? Why could the Bucs be drafting another three-techique DT in April? Find out in SR's Fab 5.

Very good article; like your thinking!
I would add a couple things; the Bucs seem to have taken Brian Price with the idea of him playing NT, which best I can tell he did not play before. I suspect they have another big, athletic DT from this draft in mind for the same role. If he surprises early and performs better at NT than Landri, I expect him to start this year next to McCoy. Landri, despite being undersized for a NT, has in the past been a productive player, moreso than Roy Miller. He could become McCoy's understudy, giving us a real flexable rotation at DT.
I think Schiano is driven to win; if Freeman or McCoy falter, they will not be automatically getting that big contract as we will be looking for replacement(s)...

Freeman at the draft party.

Good stuff

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Interesting to read that Schiano has already alienated the former franchise QB. It was pretty obvious after the "work in progress" comments Schiano made publicly that Freeman didn't respond well. I disagree with the part about those two "learning to love each other" if Free has success. I believe it is much more likely that Freeman would test the free agent market rather than continue to play for Schiano. That seems to be the current trend.

Also interesting is hearing that Dom has already vetoed Schiano's plan of bringing in competition for Freeman. Has Dom already soured on Schiano? This is a nice article SR. The Schiano needs to win now article was a great one too. Thanks for the valuable information. The front office must now be realizing that the current way of doing things will make it difficult to retain some of their best players. Regardless of how good of a coach he may be, Schiano's style is outdated.

I thought Lovie said he wanted quickness & speed, even at the QB position?

There's plenty of drama everywhere Schiano goes. How could a coach treat players the way he does without drama?

When my own observations are matching up exactly with what SR reports I think this is more than just a coincidence.

The only way to get rid of the drama is to get rid of the King Tard.

Real stories. Reality is good. Too much time reading Homer Nation posts makes you stupid.

We have holes all over the starting lineup up our defense , but we are going to draft a backup to the one position that  already has a pro bowler playing it.... and in the 1st round no less.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

It's hard to compare a college coach with no credentials to a two time Super Bowl winning coach.

One thing Coughlin did was change his style prior to winning the Super Bowl. You can read about it in his book.

That is not to suggest that if Schiano suddenly stopped being an **CENSORED** he would be half the coach Coughlin is.

Sorry I can't do a better comparison for you. It's like trying to compare a gold nugget to a nugget floating in my toilet.

If this is true that they value the backup UT position more than a starting NT,  then they are plain stupid.

Let's hope that this is a smoke screen.
