Caught Coach Gru's show with Tyler Wilson, the QB from Arkansas.

This kid intrigues me a bit for the middle rounds(assuming the picks aren't fleeced for Revis). Anyone else?

My guess is someone will take him in the 2nd round. Not because he is worth it, but some one will be desperate.

He's my top pick for the Bucs at QB if he makes it to the latter part of the 2nd round or early 3rd. He'll probably end up going much earlier though.

None of this year's QB prospects are very good, and I personally wouldn't take any of them in the 1st round...but Wilson has that grit, and that gunslinger mentality that makes me want to take a chance on him. If any of these mediocre QB prospects end up becoming solid starters, my money is on Wilson.

One thing that scares me a little is his small hands. Normally I couldn't care less about something like that, but they measured freakishly small at the combine. Like 8 inches or something. For a QB that means he could have issues fumbling and throwing in wet condition.

Some say his arm isn't strong enough. It's not a cannon, but I think it is strong enough to make all the throws.

Basically he showed real promise in 2011, but in 2012 the Razorbacks lost their Head Coach (Petrino) right before the season due to scandal and the offensive line was horrible. Plus they lost all three of their top WRs in the draft. Their season spiraled downwards quickly and so did Wilson's stock....but I'd take a chance on the guy for sure. I think he was a victim of circumstance in 2012, but has the intangibles to be an NFL QB.

Cutler has 136 TDs to 100 Ints over his career. That averages out to 19 TDs and 14 Ints per year.....and he hasn't broken the 20 TD mark in three years.

Dude sucks.

In his defense he has led a mediocre Bears team and Broncos team to multiple playoff appearances.

Pretty sure the Bears top 5 defense has more to do with that then Cutler. I mean, they made it to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman!

When the defense fell off around week 10 of 2012 and the Bears needed Jay to step up.....we saw what Jay was really capable of. 7 TDs, 6 Ints, and 5 fumbles, completion percentage of 50, and a QB rating of 73 over the last 8 games along with a 3-5 record.

Also, he quit on his team in the playoffs verse Greenbay in 2011. I don't care what anyone says. He was playing beach volleyball with his girlfriend a week later. Dude could have played.

He sucks. Glad we didn't pull off that trade.

Umm..yea...Cutler doesn't suck. He is just incredibly inconsistent and falters against good teams.

Sound familiar?

Tyler Wilson is pretty average. He's got career backup written all over him.

I'd prefer Manuel, Glennon, Bray,  and L. Jones over Wilson.  Atleast they have big arms, prototypical height to be a NFL QB.  Bray and Jones are more likely for us because they are probably 4th 5th round guys, don't think we take a QB earlier then that if at all.

I am definitely on the same page, but I'm pretty sure he goes far too early. He may even sneak into the first round given the usual run on quarterbacks.

I think Wilson could be a very good QB, but as has been said will be gone before his value to us reaches a pick we have.  Cutler is a whiny little B...but he has talent.  If he had anything resembling an NFL offensive line, he would be much much better.  Im shocked his TD/INT ration is in the positives considering as soon as the ball is snapped he is running for his life.  Its like they fielded a line full of Truebloods.

Every time I see last post JC5100, I have to click on it.... Pure comedy.
