I'd say 2 national, one home game (probably San Fran, Atlanta or New Orleans). One will be an NFL Network game.

Open at home vs. Miami
Don't all teams pretty much open and close with a division rival now?

bump

They've got to make some sort of announcement in the next 2 days, or it'll be pushed to next week. Ugh.

We've had a home opener for the past 4 years.  I highly doubt we would get a fifth.  I say ATL on the road.

Schedule release not happening tomorrow

Posted by Mike Florio on April 15, 2013, 9:08 AM EDT

Last week, we caught wind of the possibility that the 2013 regular-season schedule wont be released on Tuesday, April 16.

The possibility has now become a certainty.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tells PFT that the schedule wont be released on April 16.  He added the date for the release has not been determined.

It will not be tomorrow but could be in the next week or two, Aiello said via email. Were working to finalize it.

Typically, the schedule is released before the draft.  The information has some (but not much) relevance to the decisions made by teams as to the needs that will be addressed, since the schedule lets every franchise know precisely when it will be facing each opponent.

Online listings for NFL Network previously included a schedule-release show at 8:00 p.m. ET on April 16.  While not immediately removed after the information was noticed and publicized, at some point in the past few weeks the plans changed.

Complicating this years process of configuring 256 regular-season games, which now includes three prime-time games per week and 17 total Thursday games, was roughly three weeks of uncertainty arising from the question of whether the Ravens will be hosting the midweek season opener.  Once the decision was made that the Ravens will play in Week One on the road, NFL senior V.P. of broadcasting and media operations Howard Katzs annual task became even more daunting.

More accurately, the chore became even more Herculean.  With near-infinite possibilities and networks politicking for preferential treatment and a wide range of conflicts and other factors to consider, its far from the easiest batch of sausage to make.

We'll know a few days in advance.  NFLN and/or ESPN will have a special for it again this year I'm sure.

Home - Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Arizona, San Francisco, Buffalo, Miami, Philadelphia
Away - Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, St. Louis, Seattle, New England, N.Y. Jets, Detroit

Hoping we start off with New England, maybe we catch them off guard. Seattle early too.

I dont, only due to financials. One of my best friends is a Pats fan, and weve decided to travel to Foxborough for this game, and Id really like an extra month or two to gain some funds/vacay pay. I agree though, playing them early may help us catch them off guard and pull out a win, although Im always confident about a Bucs win on gameday. #GoBucs

I may fly to New York for the Jets game.    (depending on which QB's are on which roster)
