pro day 40. I would bet anything that he wouldn't run a 4.75 if he went to the NFL combine. Pro day 40s are always faster.

not neccesarily true. it depends on what surface he runs on. the track at the combine is much faster than grass so that can be a big factor. also you usually just get hand timed runs at prodays so theres some variance. either way an unofficial 40 time of 4.75 for a guy whos 6'5 275 and coming off knee surgery is damn impressive

Tank Carradine -
Multiple league sources tell CBS Sports' Rob Rang that NFL teams will likely have to keep Florida State DE Tank Carradine (ACL surgery) from participating fully until training camp or later.
Carradine tore the ACL in late November, so by training camp he'll be only eight months removed. Teams would be smart to play it safe with Carradine to avoid a re-tear of the knee ligament ala Ryan Broyles last year. Rang reports that Carradine's forty time at Saturday's Pro Day workout was actually 4.93, not the 4.75 reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Nevertheless, his recovery has been impressive. Carradine could be a steal if he falls to day two.

That explains a lot. But why would they buff up his time?

its probly not a 4.93 either. im guessing the first guy who put up the time picked the best and rob rang picked the worst. tells me that it was definately unofficial hand times which vary wildly. id bet he runs a solid 4.8 or so which fits for a guy his size. not that a 40 is really all that important for a DL whos not going to have to run more than about 9 yards or so anyway. id be much more interested in his vertical and long jump to see the explosion he has but thats not reasonable since hes coming off a knee injury

I guess that's how we know he was clocked by hand. Big diff there.

Still, either time is good for a guy his size, especially if he's having knee issues. Maybe one was with the knee acting up?

I would think it's a case of a team like the Bengals (the report came from the Cincinnati Enquirer) using the media to try and get a team ahead of them to take him so the guy they want drops.
Similar to howthe slow time if likely false too and that's a team hoping they can help him drop to them.

It's Bowers 2.0

This guy would have been a top 10 pick, maybe even top five...but now he'll fall to the 2nd round. He'd be a great pick, but like Bowers, he probably won't do a whole lot in year one. Long term, it could be the best pick we make this year. I for one would love to see us draft him.

Draft Aaron Donald

So I just watched almost all of his highlight video against Virginia Tech and really only saw one great rush. He had some ok rushes where he would counter inside that the offensive tackle couldn't handle, but I question that a real NFL left tackle could probably handle that. Otherwise, he got neutralized quite a lot.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

That's nice. I'd suggest watching more than one game before forming an opinion though.
