Not until all of our good players from the 97-02 era are in. That era is the only reason the Bucs haven't been shipped out of town, and the only reason this franchise isn't a joke. I can't remember who is in the ROH at this moment, but Brooks, Lynch, Rice, Alstott, Nickerson, even Brian Kelly and Brad Johnson belong in there before Williams.

wow....

A glance at his career stats as a Buccaneer. 47% completion, 73/73 td-int., QB rating of 66 and 1-3 in the playoffs.

People are living a revisionist fantasy when it comes to Williams. He does not belong in the Bucs ROH.

+1, and I think a lot of it has to do with his time in Washington after he left Tampa Bay.

Why the f would we put Williams in there? Sorry, but he was a sorry-ass QB when he played for us.
No thanks

Doug Williams didn't lead the Bucs anywhere. He went along for the ride. If he had the 2012 defense back then, nobody would remember he was even here.

Parnell **CENSORED**inson should be in the ROH because he's  the first Bucs QB that's blacker then the ace of spades..

And that's what matters!

I think.

He was the face of the organization for several seasons.  Pretty much the leader of a team who just had gone 0-26 not long before he showed up.

Stick around - Glazers are still punishing him for leaving - but he'll be on the Ring. Guaranteed.

Well I was definitely around.

And there is no doubt in my mind Doug Williams should be in the ROH. His impact on this team, and its early evolution, go so far beyond stats. You just had to be there.

The Bucs were historically lousy before Williams showed up (Yuks), generally good while he was here (led them to first three playoffs) and lousy after he left (Yuks Part Deux).

Gone With The Wins

Tampa Bay's Bucs are 0-7 without USFL-bound Doug Williams, the key to all of Coach John McKay's plans

By halftime, the Buc-kicking had reached 49-7 and Tampa Bay had nailed down its fifth straight defeat. Williams said justice was being served. Once, he said, he thought being a Buccaneer "was the greatest thing in the world," but he learned "in a hurry" that pro football was strictly business.

In 63 years of NFL football, a black quarterback had never done as much as Doug Williams.
