@JayGlazer Just got off the phone w Ronde Barber who told me he is officially retiring. "I've had a better run than I ever could've dreamed of having."

Wow, I'm kind of bummed. I thought he could contribute this year.

Definitely going to miss this guy!

Maybe we can follow in his brother's old team's footsteps and win a Super Bowl the year after he leaves.

Is Jay Glazer sure that he didn't say "I'm officially returning" ?  haha

Wow! We will miss you Ronde!! At least he closed out his career with a W and with the team that drafted him. Not many guys in this league get to say that.

His pick-6 in Philly to shut down The Vet was probably the greatest moment in Buc's history.

A smart man.   I appreciate everything he has done for this team and community.

I'm curious what is next...

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Ronde goes away... pointing his thumb over his shoulder at his nameplate for a job well done!

Man sucks to see him actually walk away, but its probably best for him at this point of his career.  He'll definitely be missed.

From the Ok messageboard GM thread...

Apparently, Ronde was going to announce his decision last week but delayed due to the ring of honor announcement ...

He did not attend the announcement.

Those two things clearly indicate to me that he will retire.   He did not want to take the spotlight from Sapp...

Thank you for everything sir.   Great player and role model for our team and community.   You will be missed.
