Sad to see ya go Ronde, but thanks for the memories. I'll be looking forward at good HOF speech and ROH induction.

Updating my avatar now with that pic RGS...  hope you don't mind.

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Wish he would have announced this before his last game so he could have received a proper send off .  I'm sure the team will recognize him during a game this year but it won't be the same.

We play the Eagles at home this year...    MOST Appropriate.  :)

I really thought he'd be back for another go round.

Thanks for the memories, Ronde.  See you at your ring of honor ceremony.

Buccaneers fixture Ronde Barber retiring

Posted by Darin Gantt on May 8, 2013, 3:11 PM EDT

which likely left nothing more than a few snaps as a dime back for Barber if he had returned.

I would still take that!!

Maybe Ronde's retiring is a sign of how well our secondary is showing to the Bucs coaches?

From the Ok messageboard GM thread...

Apparently, Ronde was going to announce his decision last week but delayed due to the ring of honor announcement ...

He did not attend the announcement.

Those two things clearly indicate to me that he will retire.   He did not want to take the spotlight from Sapp...

Thank you for everything sir.   Great player and role model for our team and community.   You will be missed.

That's just how he is, just an amazing person. Love you Ronde

Just heard the news and it doesn't seem real that Ronde won't be on the field this year. He represents everything that's good about football and our Bucs. I hope the young players will learn from his example and try and emulate the ideals he represented for so many years.
He will surely be missed

Think I might have to pop in my Super Bowl DVD that includes the playoff games in his honor.  He is my 11 year old sons favorite player.  He even wrote a paper on him this year for school.
