1. LeeRoy Selmon
2. Warren Sapp
3. Derrick Brooks
4. Hardy Nickerson
5. John Lynch
6. Mike Alstott
7. Paul Gruber
8. James Wilder
9. Ronde Barber
10. Simeon Rice

I can agree with this list, just not the order.  But every player meant something different to each of us.

Look at the guys ahead of him.  Studs.   Barber had longevity, but those other guys were better players.

Fran Tarkenton, Hall of Fame QB said. \\\"Ive watched Freeman a lot. He just plays God-awful. Thats who you are. Its just a player being able to play or not play. Josh Freeman has proven to me that he cant play.\\\"

Agreed. I don't see how anyone could put Alstott or Wilder above Barber, or even Rice for that matter.

How was Alstott a better player than Barber? Barber is a potential HOFer. At the very least he's in the conversation. Alstott has never even been selected in the preliminary rounds consisting of 90+ players. He was just a big RB who made the occasional tough run, but that's all he was. He was terrible at being an actual fullback. He has to be compared to other RBs and he's quite mediocre when you really break down his career. He would have never made the pro bowl if he was listed as a RB. Lorenzo Neal was snubbed many times because of Alstott despite being a superior FB.

Wilder is a guy who made one Pro Bowl and only broke 1000 yards rushing twice. He has a career average of 3.8 ypc.

Barber is a 5 time pro bowler with 3 all pro selections. He has stats that won't be touched for a long time. He revolutionized a position.

Yeah, Rice should be on the list instead of Alstott. Without Rice, there is no Super Bowl.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Rice is on my list.   There is room for both him and Alstott.

I don't think there's room for Alstott in a top ten list.

Brooks is definitely number one.  He's the second best LB of our generation and prob the best OLB of our generation.

9 time all-pro is nuts.  Man of the year.  DPOY.  The guy has a ton of character even for a Nole.  I'm ok with this.  Selmon second then Sapp.  After that you can go in many directions.  Longevity should play a big part when you are talking about BUC all-time greats.  Ronde was here forever.  THAT means something in itself.  Plus he was an ironman as well.  He might be fourth.  Then you have a bunch of second tier guys.

Its like ranking my kids.   Good thing they all made the list..   :)

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Not bad.  I could live with that.  I would maybe swap Hardy for Lynch in the 7 hole.
