How the hell does ONE year make a guy the best at his position?? Gtfohwtbs

Revis is still the #1 corner in the National Football League.
Because the NFL is the Not For Long league. Every player is year-to-year. It's possible Revis may never be the same again.

Sherman quietly had a good year in 2011 as well. The dude has an excellent ability at making a play on the ball. When he is targeted, he is able to get either a PD or an INT over 25% of the time. That is stellar. I would like to see one more year out him like last year, before we give him any sort of unofficial title..but one thing is for sure...the year Sherman had last year was as good as any of Revis' best years in the league.

Until preseason, you stay classy Red Board.

By that logic, back in 2010, we could have said Freeman was a better QB than Peyton Manning, as he had a better passer rating. You have to look at overall body of work.

Was Sherman better than Revis LAST year? No **CENSORED** he was. Overall though, Revis is better. Consistency!!!!

Poor comparison because in 2010 both Freeman and Manning played all year and Freeman was only incrementally higher in QB rating. A better comparison is if you said in 2011 when Manning didn't play that someone like Matthew Stafford was better. At that point we had no idea what kind of condition Manning would be in after his injury and it was 100% possible Stafford would be better than him from there on out.

Could care less really. All I know is that our secondary couldn't be any further to the opposite side of the spectrum from about 4 months ago. Guys who were starting for us won't even be on our roster and in fact aren't. The only guy who has a snowball chance in hell of making the 53 man roster is Leo Johnson.

I'm been screaming it since the end of the year. The best way to get better is by improving the biggest weakness. That's been done, now we need, not better play, but more consistent play out of Freeman and it's going to be a fun year.

Revis is a far superior cover corner.

Guys I'm getting anxious and excited thinking about all the interceptions we'll be getting. Touchdown Banks! Touchdown Revis!
