Wait...and they're having second-thoughts about giving him this kind of money? Yet they gave that **CENSORED** Clayton 5m/year with no problem?

#2? He's a potential #1. Hell, do you know how many teams wish they had Williams as their #1 right now?

They gave Michael Clayton his $5 mil back when they were the low spenders of the NFL and cap was not even an issue with the Bucs.

Worth the money IMO. MW is a lot like Julio Jones in terms of being a "Number 2". White is the 1, but Jones isn't the number 2. It is 1A and 1B.
I am sure that i could get laughed at, and I know the obvious responses (A great FA pass rusher or true TE next year) but where else should we spend the money other than keeping two number one WRs? I am not sure of what in prime DEs or TEs are going to be on the open market next year. I have done no research on either position that will be up for FA for next year, though.

Vincent makes something like 10 per year.  Is Mike worth 7 ?    I think so.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

That would be a great deal for Mike Williams. Honestly suprised he's not asking for more. If Freeman/Mike Williams have the years they're capable of having this year our cap is going to be screwed...better sign Mike quick if that's all he's asking for.

They could cut some high priced under achievers after the season, to make cap room.

Not a good number one at all. he is a good number two because of Jackson taking the pressure off him. How soon people forget the previous year when he was a number one.  very good number two but not a 1 type wr.

$7 mil a year sounds more than fair.
