Here's a video of Deion back in his prime.   In all my years of watching the NFL, Deion was the fastest I've seen in pads.    If you guys think it was someone else, please let us know who you think it was/is.   Deion was lightning.

Glad you are old enough to have seen Hayes play live.   That must have been a treat.   He's before my time.

Notice in that list the Deion and Beebe are both at 4.21.   Ha!

Yep; he's mentioned positively in the article I posted. I'm really crossing fingers and toes he and Dom and Schiano can work out a schedule for him as a Buc! Could be a deadly 3rd down back...

The answer depends on what "fastest" means. Are we talking 100 yards or 20 to 40 yds.

Guys such as Darrell Green and Cliff Branch have to be considered

Are we saying who was the fastest relative to their time period? or who is literally the fastest?

If it's who's the fastest than guys like bob hayes can't even be considered, because these days they would be beat by the average skill player in a race. It would have to be deion or possibly even joey galloway r bo jackson. Or even jeff demps

Bo was a beast, an absolute freaky beast in two sports. We were robbed due to his untilmely injury.

Green was the first guy that came to mind for me.  That little joker could scoot.

You're wrong about Bob Hayes. Bob Hayes would be competitive in the 100m currently on a world scale. "The average skill player"? Pretty naive.
