Chace bashing Davin Jospeh again.... in a thread that has nothing to do with him .... again.

Who would have guessed it !

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Atta boy Spence. Many have anointed this OL as elite, even though they have shown nothing close to that level. They have just as much to prove as you.

Get it.

Pre-season OTA #1 is not the place to do it. As a lineman you don't even try to prove much until at least the uppers go on. There is a line between wanting to prove yourself and being a dummy. Save it buddy, it's going to be a long pre-season.

Think I agree with you. Players do fight in practice, but I think it's a dumb thing to do; they're professionals and all it takes is one wrong step or fall and a player is out for half the season.

I wonder what the comments would have been if Spence went hard on the first play and injured Zuttah because of contact in a non-contact drill.

Spence:  40-5.09, 20-2.81, 10-1.74, vertical-30", bench-37, broad-8'11", shuttle-4.72, 3 cone-7.82.

Atkins:   40-4.75, 20-2.64, 10-1.68, vertical-33", bench-34, broad-9'9", shuttle-4.43, 3 cone-7.33.

So you see, Atkins beats him in every category except bench and Atkins was no slouch in that.  Better than McCoy and Suh.  Why were those two considered top of first round talent and Atkins a 4th rounder?  He beats them in every measurable.
production in college.

btw.

.34, .16, .06, 3", -3, 10", .29, .49

That's it?

Wasn't my point anyway...  their play is similar, although Spence needs work...

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

spence looks heavier then atkins by about 10 or 15 lbs... methinks atkins is about 300 while spence looks closer to 310/315

This is what I think about the Glazers being cheap...

Lets putting Spence's name in the same sentence with the best DT in the game.

Until preseason, you stay classy Red Board.

Don't get lose the bubble here...  they play different positions.   I simply made the comment they remind me of each other...

IMO.

...and you do your thing . I'm sure there's another thread you can bring up Davin Joseph in for no particular reason.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

It's realistic to compare what round they were drafted in.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Spence is a really strong, slow, NT that hasn't shown great ability. He has great upper body strength and Schiano is hoping that results in being a stud NT. In college he was a decent anchor but rarely disruptive. He had 3 sacks in 3 years and averaged 5 TFL per season.

Atkins is a freakishly agile big man with an ideal combo of strength, athleticism, and technique. He might just be the best DT in the NFL right now. He is proven it at this level. Not only has he been a dominating and disruptive force verse the run and pass, but he's managed 20 sacks in two years as a DT in the NFL. That is Warren Sapp like ish.

They are similar size and skin tone. That is it. So they have about as much in common as Oprah and my Mail man.

Kinda. Spence was taken 20 spots earlier than Atkins.
