I just dont see how running in the olypics compares to playing in the nfl. Olympics are great and its a chance to show your one of the top athletes in the world, but asside from a handful of sprinters, most never hit the stardom that can bring them money like playing in the nfl. If I had to choose from earning a few hundred thousand a year with the potential to make millions or the chance to get a medal with the possibility to make a few hundred thousand....it just seems very clear to choose football.
I don't believe he is taking up a roster spot, the Bucs just have his rights should he choose to pursue football.I'm also surprised that some of you think he should just give up his dream because the NFL would pay him good money. He loves track and is only young enough to do it now. Good for him going for it.
