We had a an arena league roster when Dom took over in 2009. Dom is far from perfect, and has made many mistakes over the past 4+ years, but the difference between Allen's last 53 and our current group of guys is night and day.

Allen inherited an aging roster that was missing 4 premium picks in the 2002-2004 drafts with practically no cap room. He squeezed two division championships out and almost a third while completely fixing the cap problem in the process.

Dominik inherited a great cap situation and full load of draft picks. He had full freedom to build the roster in his image. He targeted Albert Haynesworth, trading picks for Winslow, signed Ward, took Price #35 overall, traded up for Benn in the 2nd, re-signed Ryan Sims, Clayton, Trueblood and Black and is 16 games under .500.

Signing/trading for All-Pros doesn't make you good at your job.

I want to paint it out for the Dominik bashers. This roster is so much better than the Allen era, but posters still demand more action. How many 100's of millions of dollars need to be spent, plus great draft picks like Freeman, McCoy, Williams, Clayborn, Bowers, Barron, Martin, and David.

Credit Schiano a little bit. This team has done nothing but get better since he stepped foot in OBP

So where is the winning?

Signing All Pro's might not make you great at your job, but it sure as hell beats handing out bloated contracts to old washed of vets....which was a favorite pass time of Allen.

2004 was really the only season Allen overpaid old guys.

For awhile it seemed like we over paid every washed up vet that left Oakland.

Meanwhile we force Sapp and Lynch to leave before they were done.

**CENSORED** Allen.

So I guess the Bucs must have had a really bad defense after getting rid of such important players like Sapp and Lynch, huh?

I might be in the minority....but I LOVED the Pittsburgh throwbacks that had the horizontal stripes instead of vertical.

was Allen allowed to spend around $300 mil signing vets from other teams his last two years?  Take off Revis, Goldson, Nicks, Jackson, and Wright and how many games would this current team win?

Bucs had not been the cheapest team in the NFL for just one single season since Dom took over. All those new toys of '12 and '13 offseason were NOT part of the team that won 10 games in 2010. Gruden and Allen won 10+ the last time in 2005. Curious what the salery figueres were then?

If Allen/Gruden would have had $300M to spend we prolly see more J Faines. As if the highest paid DC does not make a difference, beside Gruden little paycheck.
If Allen/Gruden would trade for veteran players, we prolly see more J Plummers never put a bucs Jersey on.
If Allen/Gruden would have been drafting now, we prolly see more D Jacksons.

Doms team is lightyears ahead of Allen and Grudens, even without  Revis, Goldson, Nicks and Jackson, who combined for 24 games so far. The better our team gets we have to ask ourself if we have HC able to get the most out of though, if you wanna talk wins(Schiano-Gruden/Kiffin).

I think horizontal stripes on side panels of the jerseys would look great as a pirate motif... or sleeves.
