NFL Records That Will Fall in the 2013 Season

Offense

Single-Season Passing Yards - Peyton Manning

This one I like. Peyton threw for over 4,600 yards last year. They added Wes Welker who contributed over 1,400 yards himself last year.

I think the all-time single-season passing record could be in serious jeapordy.

Single-Season Rushing Yards - Adrian Peterson

I Know this might seem crazy.

But, it is very likely that he might have a better season this year than he did last year. The Vikings might have to hand it off more than they did last year, and rightfully so. AP is slightly healthier than he was and the Vikes are switching to a more power offense.

Single-Season Pass Attempts - Matthew Stafford

This is becoming a more pass-first league. Nobody does it more than Detroit. Stafford has a good chance to eclipse the record. Funniest part, he set the record.

 Defense

Single-Season Sacks - Von Miller

Strahan's 22.5 sacks has gotten closer and closer to being broken every year. This year might be the year you see it go. Miller has proven himself as a "ELITE" pass rusher. Not only may he break 22.5 he might hit 25.

Single-Season Tackles - Luke Kuechly

Kuechly had a great rookie season and proved himself as a great tackling linebacker. Now the record of 195 might seem really far fetched. If there was somebody to do it this year it would be Kuechly.

Miscellaneous

Times fined by the NFL - Mark Barron

Times Arrested in one week -  Titus Young (had to throw that in there)

IIRC, Barron has never been fined, so now he is going to set a record for fines in his 2nd year ?

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

Given how tackles are counted and Kuechly's legit omnipresence, he has the best chance of all the mentioned records.  The Barron thing is just bizarre though, where did that come from?

There is a much greater chance that Goldson gets fined more than.Barron..

Hell, brees might not be as accurate as manziel.

Freeman will own the Buccaneer career yardage record by week 7.

If Adrian Peterson has back to back 2000 yard seasons he should be enshrined in Canton at the end of the year.

I wouldn't bet against him but I would say that it's unlikely.

Yeah, it's not happening.  I don't think a single offensive player has ever had consecutive record-setting years, for volume, in which their performance improved.  A ton of things have to line up to get in (or close) to the record books, and it's rare that it happens more than once... especially consecutively.

Sack record is maybe most likely, some good pass rushers for teams that should be playing with a lot of leads in an already pass-first league.

I wouldn't bet against Brady being the first QB to start in 6 Super Bowls after this season.

Back to back 2000 yard season puts him ahead of a lot of dudes in my book. Brown, **CENSORED**erson, Sanders, Emmit. I think the only one he'd be behind still would be Payton. He still needs a ring to really put an exclamation point on his career. But back to back 2k season has never been done and is so beyond difficult to do. Especially the 2 years following major knee surgery.

Agree I don't think it will happen. But I also wouldn't be surprised if it somehow did happen.

Behind Payton, but ahead of Brown?  That's funny, because Brown would have had a pair of 2,000-yard seasons had he played in a 16-game era.  Payton was amazing, but Brown is the closest thing to a video game running back that we've ever seen.

If you take Browns average per game and multiple it out for 16 games, he would in fact have had two 2000 yards seasons. They wouldn't have been back-to-back though.

Of all those props, my money would be on Von Miller.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.
