The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down a key part of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 — the map that determines which states must get federal permission before they change their voting laws.

‘Our country has changed’.....Justice Roberts.

Wish he'd remember that when making decisions about our gun laws.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

LOL, gotta love that idiot Allen West playing the Paula Deen card. I bet West is a big fan of hers. He just ought to be thanking his lucky stars that he doesn't have a "Thomas" in his name. Clarence Thomas is such a joke of a justice. How do you sit on the bench for  23 years and hardly ever ask any questions during oral arguments? Thurgood Marshall is turning over in his grave.

If there was any further evidence needed to show that this court is about as activist as they come, and that Marbury V Madison needs to be revisited and revoked, this is it. I'm certain that Thomas Jefferson turns in his grave like a pinwheel whenever this court makes a ruling.

I was, however, pleasantly surprised and pleased by "Majority Leader" Eric Cantor's comments on the ruling. Maybe conservatives in the house and senate will put their big boy pants on and correct this egregious miscarriage of justice after all. We'll see.

"Uncle Tom" is a term generally used by African Americans towards other African Americans. It has no historical significance as a racial slur, because people of other races generally never use it as a pejorative against African Americans. Comparing this to Paula Deen using the N-word and throwing plantation parties is about as false an equivalency as there is.

Oh really?

I might just know a whole bunch of folks who would take exception to what you just said.
