If there was one guy is put money on not playing this year, or playing very minimal, it's Nicks. Not Revis, Clayborn, or Joseph.

What does an infected blister have to do with his plantar plate? I'm not seeing a connection.

Infection would spread and he could lose his toe. Nicks is done.

Too bad. I have an idea we will see Nicks minimally this year, if at all. Talk about poor investment return.

If you cut it off, better to put nothing there that would pull those tendons and cause the same pain. Defeats the purpose.

Way to take a snippet of info into another level.

While this is disturbing, and ultimately will shorten his career, I still see Nicks playing effectively this year

Hope we are actively scouring the market.  DO NOT WANT LARSEN STARTING.  When the Nicks article first came out a poster or two mentioned injury settlement and I thought that was chicken little.  Now starting to think that is a viable, if not likely, solution.

As far as investment/return, **CENSORED** happens.  Hope this doesn't sour Dom on these types of signings in the future (assuming he's still around).  The way Dom structured the deal (I believe) actually shelters the Bucs from serious long term cap implications.

I was honestly conflicted from the start about letting a bugeater into my heart (Excepting Lavonte, who couldn't love that dude?) so I'm kind of ok with this as long as I don't have to watch Ted Larsen getting thrown around our backfield for 16 games.

...Nicks signed a contract that owes him $31million guaranteed. Through this season, he would have only been paid a about $17.8mil. They will still owe him $13+million after the '13 season.

I'd rather see Zuttah at LG and Larsen at C than vice versa.

Nicks was a huge waste of a signing. He might play one season for us and that is it.

@TBBuccaneers: Coach still thinks Carl Nicks playing in the opener is a realistic possibility.
