What does an infected blister have to do with his plantar plate? I'm not seeing a connection.

Infection would spread and he could lose his toe. Nicks is done.

**CENSORED** that, we have the technology, we have the money

chop that motherf*cker off and build him a fake big toe foot attachment and play ball!!

lol....nicn one.

@TBBuccaneers: Coach still thinks Carl Nicks playing in the opener is a realistic possibility.

We're almost three weeks out from that.  I'd hope it's a f'ing "possibility".

I'm sure it's not the blister, it's likely the infection.

thank god we don't owe him any $ after this year.

...Nicks signed a contract that owes him $31million guaranteed. Through this season, he would have only been paid a about $17.8mil. They will still owe him $13+million after the '13 season.

I know it says guaranteed but I wonder if there is a clause for an injury settlement?

Hope this talking point does not gain traction, at least not from this situation.  I'm as hard on Dom as most any poster on this board, but Carl Nicks was a home run signing.  This is just bad luck.

We don't "owe" him the money, it's already been paid. But for salary cap purposes, that money is averaged out over the contract and hasn't all been counted against the cap yet. If he's not on the team, the remaining money not yet counted accelerates to the current cap year or partially next cap year, depending on the date.

Interesting how last year the second Winslow, Jackson, Price, and Blount missed a voluntary OTA or needed to rest an injury, they were instantly in the doghouse or flat out gone. This year Demps is allowed to pursue his track career and Nicks, Joseph, and Revis can just lollygag around nursing their injuries and all is forgiven.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.
