Chill out?? Till when? You're dead? The whole entire freaking thing sucks!! I'm tired of all the excuses for the rookie QB, the young line, the old dfense, etc. The defense stepped it up today. Everything & everybody else sucked! Including the play calling! Who says the WCO is THE system? Why can't we try another one? This version of the Bucs stinks!

Right -- 4th game starting in his NFL career. No excuses at all. He should dominate in conditions that held ELI MANNING under 50% completion percentage.

The WCO won the Super Bowl. Nobody minded the WCO when it took us to an 11-5 season last year. Now, with some big injuries and a lot of young players on offense, including the entire right side of the offensive line, it's the WCO's fault.

Ridiculous. The lack of logic in this entire statement is astounding.

We didn't make it to an 11-5 record running the west coast offense. We ran a heavy rushing attack to establish the run and then threw deep to Galloway - hardly the west coast offense.

Gruden needs to step it up right away. His playcalling sucks. I'm tired of this piss poor offense.

We can give him all the time in the world, but his arm will not get stronger, he will not get taller and deeps balls are like speed you either have it or you don't. He don't...
Here is a question if he ran a 4.8 / 40 would we have drafted him? No way. He is not McNabb or Culpepper who have the size the break through a shirt tackle, he does not have the speed of Vick, so his mobility may help him 1 or 2 plays a game if that. How many open WR's wil be miss because he can't see over the line? How many deep balls will get dropped or will he just miss? Simms can get the deep ball out. I don't think we will ever win with our max protect and dink and dunk, at least with Simms we could go max protect and get the deep ball out there.
Simms has more upisde, and talent, which we will see in a few years when King and Grad's can start a support group for nobody back up QB's who never quite made it, but had crazy fan support by <insert Tim Browns quote about Tampa fans here>

We all expected regression. He flat out sucked today. Anyone who denies that is just making excuses and feels guilty for riding his jock.

Yeah, ask the Raiders how well using max protect and throwing it deep every other play has been working for them the last few years! Get a clue!

What's astounding is that you think we ran WCO to the super bowl or all of last year. We just didn't. Chuckie had to work with what he had. And I don't like the looks of it with him getting "his guys" in. And for the Simms haters--he didn't have Joseph or Trueblood. If he had he might still have a spleen.

I don't care about the WCO I care about winning, and if we had a guy like P. Manning who never played in a WCO, and I think he likes the shotgun wouldn't our system change a little?
If Gruden was a genious as he is credited as being, then why could he not take Simms who throws the deep ball as good as Carson Palmer, maybe even better and not have him throw so may 3 step 5 yards passes up the middle passes only to be tipped (have you noticed Grad's tipped passes off of 3 step drops)? How has he found a way to only give Bruce 1 or 2 per game???
Simms looks downfield, Grad's like the little outlet pases to Caddy and Alstott, you can't win in the NFL with the size and speed of LB's in a short passing game, unless you have a great running game. These players are evolving as we speak, there is so many talented huge LB's with speed now than even in 2002. Dink and dunk is too easy to defend.

Regression is a natural part of all this -- it happens to EVERY rookie QB.

Why is everyone shocked by it and expecting anything different? Or did everyone think that throwing 48 times would help him mature faster?

I think most people aggree the Simms has more upside then Grads. Simms can't make the short passes, and Grads can't make the deep pass. Neither one of them are great all around QB's. Grads is getting fan support because Simms is hurt the same way we supported Simms when Griese got hurt. Simms contract is up at the end of the season, and I doubt we are going to re-sign him because someone will offer him a large contract I think that we won't match. Grads is the starter right now, so lets support him until there is a better option.

Mass stupidity breaks out on this board after every loss. May as well get used to it.

this is turning into TBBBB

"there are no medals here for who can stay at the office the longest," said Jagodzinski. "I'm not into that. The guys that brag about working till 2 in the morning, in my opinion, they're just not smart enough. "

I support coach Calhoun and his salary

Don't worry, once we cut/trade simms she'll go away.  Doesn't ever post on anything other than him so it's a safe bet...

Simms doesn't have any upside.  He's a proven one=trick pony.  Nice deep ball and flat out sucks at all else.  Get over him.

we should chill out. we all know deep down inside that grads sux and so does michael clayton. clayton is a 3rd reciever at best and he is a total bust. i know i;; get blasted for this but i think we need to keep simms. this short system isnt working adjust to the talent that you have we can probably keep simms on the cheap and address other issues via free agency and draft. if simms goes we have to do a major overhaul on both sides

???  Joseph and Trueblood are run specialist not pass blockers.
