.....and tell me Gradkowski played well today?

You don't have to blame him for the loss, you don't have to give any excuses. There are a hundred reason why we lost this game today. This isn't a blame game, it's a simple question, do you think Gradkowski played well today???

Yes.  He was put into very tough situations having to throw so many times when we should have been establishing the run.  When he did make bad throws, the entire world knew about it because Gruden was blasting him on the sidelines.  Pay more attention in how he manages himself and players on the sidelines; it is very interesting.  Cute when we are winning, disturbing when we are losing...

Every post that said it wasn't his fault, he's only a rookie. He's just as responsible, and it's just as much his fault as anyone else on the team. Probably more of his fault seeing as he touches the ball on every play and is supposed to be the leader.

Big difference between "being his fault" and "played well today", isn't there. ?

To ask a rookie QB to go on the road and throw the ball 48 times in conditions that would make Montana look lousy, just doesn't make sense?!  Add that to the fact that he was coming off a horrible performance against the Eagles at home?  RUN THE BALL!!!!

BBG, Are you serious??? The kid played as expected if not better today. He actually showed alot of progression in his long ball and our WR's dropped passes all day long. You add the 5 plays that were easily dropped or fumbled passes that he put on the money and you have a whole different ball game that llikely sees us coming out on top. He played against a fierce pass rush that dared him to throw with 8 guys in the box for most of the day and his throws were mediocre with  several beautiful passes that will never be counted. He also had some misreads and made a couple of wron reads but he diod not turn it over and was a caretaker which is what is expected of him. There is talent on that offense and Grads did his job and the talent around him let him down.

The kid has been in the system for 6 months now and has played better than can be expected.

While his numbers were not good today he played a good game and the team around him let him down. He had 5 passes dropped or fumbled that would have led to redzone possessions.

Long ball??? How about the batted passes. The shoestring passes. The passes behind recievers? Not seeing wide open recievers? Sure you can't expect much from a rookie in his 4th game, but to say he played better than expected?????????? What did you expect then if that was better than you expected?

He didn't play well -- didn't play poorly. He played like a rookie.

Check the statsheets for the Arizona/GB game and tell me how much better off the OTHER rookie looked against a defense exponentiallly worse than the one the Bucs faced today.

People have completely unrealistic expectations of what a rookie QB can and cannot do.

HINT: If you're listing off what a rookie QB *cannot* do, add "throw 48 times on the road" to that list.
