Brohm plays on a terrible team which plays into his standings in the race.  Dixon got hurt last night and the Ducks lost playing into his standings in the race.

It all depends on the parameters used to determine a Heisman trophy winner

Often it the most important player on an extremely successful team  that loses no more than a couple of games.

Generally it goes to a Senior or sometimes a Junior  Never been awarded to a Soph

Sometimes it is just have gaudy stats for the year

Tebow certainly would make it under the parameter  what would UF be without him?

1A) McFadden
1B) Tebow
2) Dixon

Why McFadden?  Take him off that team and Felix Jones can do just the same.  Take Tebow off Florida and they are a below .500 team.  Tebow is dynamic, and carries that team week after week.  Tebow has an outstanding line of 42 total TD, only 5 INT, and even more astounding ZERO fumbles.  Unheard of for a QB, and especially a QB who runs as much as he does.  Tebow's "worst" game was against LSU, where he had 225 yards of offense with 3 TD and 1 int.  He only had 1 game under 59% passing, and had 7 of 10 at 69% or higher.  He is the #2 rated QB in pass rating against the 2nd hardest schedule to date, per Sagarin.  McFadden has had a nice year and will likely be the better pro, but he has not had a better year than Tebow.

IMO Dixon was the only guy who matched up with Tebow, due to his combination of numbers, team being good and his stature as a senior.  Now that OR has lost and he is done for the year, IMO Tebow should be a lock for this award.  If you look at what the players have done and not what year they are, Tebow is clearly the cream of the crop.

Of course, Same could be said for guys like Grossman and Peterson in the past.  This crap of having to be a Junior or Senior to win the award is pathetic.  Heisman should go to the player having the best season, not the best upper classmen or best player on the best team.

LOL at the people saying Dixon shouldn't be in it because his team lost WITHOUT him yet Tebow has lost three times with him. So that excuse is LAME

Dixon should be gone because he won't play in several games.

Outside of that, his body of work still pales in comparison to a guy like Tebow.

Last I checked, neither Tebow or Dixon play defense, so a loss can't be entirely blamed on either.

It is important to play, and if a guy is to be deemed the best I do think it is important to play in games.  Dixon will have missed all or part of 3 games.  IMO that is not Heisman worthy.

Yep Akili and Samie Parker are my close 2nd. But what Dixon has gone through his career here and last night put it over the top. Not many players can break a 35 yard run for a TD on a torn acl. Man senior day with him and Terrence Kelly (passed away) will be something special

If Tebow does not get hurt and doesn't win the Heisman it'll prove to me how much of a joke College Football really is. Tebow is the most productive QB in the NATION! You wanna say UF has 3 losses well 2 of those games were very close games, and they play in the toughest conference in the country. 2 of the 3 losses were because of defense and special teams(Tebow does not play for either)

Like it or not the 3 losses hurts him.  He's also hurt by being a sophomore. His production and the fact that there really is no clear cut favorite at this time helps him.    Some would argue that the fact that his coach has refused at times to get others involved with the offense is a part of why they lost the 3 games and the reason why his production is so high.
