Bucs general manager Bruce Allen addressed the media on Thursday for the first time since Tampa Bay's 24-14 loss to New York on Wild Card Weekend.

Tampa Bay has extended contract offers to all three coordinators -- offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Bill Muir, defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin and special teams coach Richard Bisaccia. According to Allen, Muir and Bisaccia have signed their contracts with the Buccaneers.

Allen suggested Bucs assistant head coach/running backs Art Valero had signed a contract with the St. Louis Rams. He also suggested the Bucs would not be bringing in former Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan, who served as an offensive line coach in Oakland under Jon Gruden.

Allen also acknowledged that the Buccaneers expressed interest in signing retired WR Keyshawn Johnson after WR Maurice Stovall suffered a season-ending injury against San Francisco. Although they still are high on Joey Galloway, the Bucs likely will look for at least one wide receiver in the draft and/or free agency.

In addition, Allen said there was no question that Jon Gruden would be the head coach of the Buccaneers in 2008. Mike Alstott is not in a hurry to announce his future plans, RB Earnest Graham could be up for a contract extension as Allen plans to meet with his agent this week and he said he could not comment on Warren Sapp signing a one-day contract to retire a Buccaneer because it could be considered tampering since Sapp still is under contract with Oakland.

PewterReport.com will have more on these stories and more from One Buc Place throughout the day.

I would have preferred Callahan over Muir but I suppose resigning Muir makes sense. This is the best group of OL the Bucs have had in a long time and the OL performed better this year than they have since the Superbowl run. Nevertheless I'm a little disappointed they couldn't get Callahan in.

The ST's were playing really well until Jones and others got injured so the Return game took a big hit. I think Bisaccia made good progress overall this year with the ST's and just needs a true, specialist returner to produce a consistent Return Game. The Bucs' kick and punt coverage units have been excellent for the last 2 years.

Muir must have value is Maimi was rumored to be looking at him.  I still that that Callahan may come in and help out on the O.  You can never have to many coaches.

While the return game wasn't great the kicking game was.  I loved the formations he used and different ways they played the onside kick.  I am glad to have him back now lets get him some  tallent at KR/PR.

I wonder how long of an extension they offered Monte?

Wow, I'm very disappointed that we're keeping Muir, and surprised that we're not brining in Callahan. I don't know why Gruden is so in love with BM.

I'm alright with Bisaccia staying. Hopefully Monte will sign his extension soon. Next step is to get rid of Mann and get someone in here who can develop our young WRs. If Mann and Muir both stay, my head might just explode.

Is it official we aren't bringing Callahan in?  If Valero isn't extended, we will have an Assistant Head Coach (Offense) position open, right?

Very dissapointed and I too wish it was April Fools day.

I think Muir has been given the benefit of the doubt given that LP was injured so early in the season and Donald Penn to work with at LT.

Well.. with this it appears Bruce Allen is turning into Carl Peterson.. no longer interested in winning only in keeping his buddies employed.

I believe Callahan is still in the plans.
