Winborn is not the long term answer for Brooks IMO.  I like the idea of filling a majority of our Defensive holes with FA's.  There's going to be a very good choice of guys out there for a variety of needed positions.  I'd love to get some guys with huge chips on there shoulder ... bring some nastiness back to the D. But by that doesn't mean we can't draft D either.  We need a huge defensive draft!

Do the Buccs need a better LG? Bengals could only sign two of the three GREAT O-linemen, Willie Anderson got resigned, and Levi Jones got resigned but not Eric Steinbach. He's probably one of the best LGs in the NFL.

Can't he also play center?

I would love to see Briggs in a Buc uniform.  I think Adalius Thomas is a quick, playmaking linebacker that would fit nicely into the Bucs, but last year I believe they blitzed him a lot out of the 3-4...who knows.

Briggs or Thomas would add some much needed punch to the LB corp.  Throw in Winborn, who for some reason isn't getting ANY love, and the Bucs could have Thomas/Briggs, Ruud, and Winborn.  Not a bad trio of LBers.

Another guy I would love to see is Dawkins.  The guy is a flat out hitting machine.

Boy that's mostly a big load of nothing.

It means the Bucs can use the cap space for other players.  ;)

Yeah he can play center. He can also play LT I think? BTW, we drafted a LG in the 2nd round this year to take his place next year anyway.

Would I be alone in believing Johnny Lynch needs to come back home?

Briggs plays weakside right? If we brought him in not only would he want big$$$ he'd want to be starting. I don't see DB giving up his spot, unless he retires or the Bucs cut him...and I don't see Briggs settling for backing up DB or switching to strongside....kinda like Ian Gold....I wish he had him still....

If Steinbach performs well at C, he would be a great FA target for the Bucs, as his ability to play all over the line at a high level would be a great shot in the arm for our OL

Yeah you'll see him at C today when we play you all. Can't wait to see what he can do at his new position.  8)

How is Levi?  Was the injury serious?  His backup looked pretty good.  Was it Whitworth?
