I have this calendar and everyday there is a tampa tid bit. Did you know that Clayton finished the 2004 season with 80 catches, the 5th best total ever in NFL history.

What in the heck happened to this guy? I know injuries but geez man, he can't even catch the gimmies anymore.

5th best total in the NFL? No chance. Maybe it said 5th best for rookies.

5th best for rookies is correct.  But he gets bumped down one by Regie Bush this year (86 receptions so far)

He saw LB16 make 300 straight one handed grabs, hasn't been the same since.

What were the repercussions in the "contract" he signed with Gruden if he didn't live up to the terms? Can't imagine he made any goals that were set forth as far as production on the field.

Man, it's really a shame.  I don't know what happened to this guy.  Maybe he can get his weight back down and get a little quicker.  Hopefully he can get back to form.

Yah, I have one of the scouting highlight DVDs of him... He was an AMAZING college receiver... He seems to have lost his aggressiveness somewhat... I think it's because he wants so badly to be the #1...

I'm not involved in the scene, so I don't know first hand.   So this is really just speculation.  But I've heard it from alot of people that Clayton is a partier.    If this is true, it's probably a big reason why he has fallen off so drastically after that injury.    He needs to focus on his career 100% at this point if he wants to turn it around.

LOL!   True dat!

Irvin was never open.   He used to goon his opponents by pushing off.   I don't know if he could have gotten away with that if he had played with any team other than the Cowboys.

And Caddy won rookie of the year last year.  Davin Joseph is the one that should worry, Tampa is becoming the City of the Sophmore Slump.

Don't forget the Junior slump.
