You can sign seal and deliver this, the Raider or Lions will take quinn. That leaves 2 teams in front of us Raider/Lions (one of the two) and the Browns. I see the Browns going Adrian Peterson. They need a RB desperately. They have a top 5 pick in Braylon Edwards at the WR position and a top 10 pick in K2 at TE. Drafting another WR with no QB to throw the football makes no sense. The Browns will give Frye/Anderson a chance to fight it out one year to see if either of them can make anything happen (Frye was a R3 selection, this his 2nd year). The Browns have no interest in Gaines Adams as he does not fit the 3-4 DE or OLB. Adams is a natural 4-3 DE.

That leaves the Raiders or Lions, one of witch will pick Quinn. The Raiders take Quinn, which I think they will and here is why. If the Raiders pass on Quinn the only other option they have is for Adrian Peterson or Calvin Johnson. I think the Raiders will take Quinn because of the success young QB's are having these days like Rothelisberger, Cutler, Leinart and Young. They have passed too many "franchise" QB's over the past couple years to take another skill player. Outside chance they take Peterson but their QB situation is a mess and Shell will be gone paving the way for a new face of the franchise, Quinn is the guy. I see the Lions getting their Simeon Rice in Gaines Adams at #2 leaving the Browns the choice between Joe Thomas and Adrian Peterson. The Lions will not take Peterson (kevin jones fits their mold) and they will surely not select another WR (Calvin Johnson) The Browns brought in Shafer who underachieved this year and I think was hurt. I think the pick as I stated before is Adrian Peterson. Droughns has been banged up and isn't a feature back, Peterson is and the Browns love their RB's, Jim Brown, Kevin Mack, Ernest Byner...The Browns will take Peterson.

That leaves us Joe Thomas who I think we are best served in taking as long as we can acquire a DE via FA and there are several big named DE's that will be available. Joe Thomas will make our line instantly better and allow Davis to battle it out with Trueblood for the right tackle spot, which is a good thing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  As long as we stay in the top 4 we can't go wrong.  We're going to get a player that is going to plug a gaping void on our team.  I want Quinn, Thomas, Adams, and Johnson in that order, but will be ecstatic with any of those players as they will be huge upgrades.

When we win this week vs the Seahags 2nd and 3rd teamers, we'll probably drop another few spots.

This is exactly how I feel about it as well.  I think there's a good chance AP goes in there somewhere as well, so it might not even be so bad if we drop to fifth.  Heck, if Russell comes out and blows up the combine, I might not even be too upset about sixth.  Those are definitely the four players I have my eye on though, and am not really overly picky about who.

I really doubt that the Bucs will take a QB with a first Rnd pick.  It almost a sure thing that Garcia will be here next year in a battle with Simms for the starting position.  Johnson or Gaines is what makes sense to me.

Let's just hope we lose this week so we can keep that high pick.   :)

Thats another thing, so if they win this week where does that leave them in the draft? If they drop even 1 or 2 spots that changes the whole picture as to who is available in those spots.

Considering we win and end up 5-11, Calvin Johnson, if hes available, has to be the pick.

If not Johnson, I'd like to see us trade down and go for Patrick Willis from Ole Miss. He's a freakin beast and would be an immediate impact player for our defense. He will likely go around pick 12 or so.

The Raiders, IMO, will NOT take Quinn. If they do go QB I believe Al Davis will take a chance on JaMarcus Russell.

Id hate for us to O-Line AGAIN on the first day, let alone the first round. Personally id like to see us stick with the O-Line we have right now but replace Wade with a FA like O'Hara.

Seattle wont play 2nd or 3rd teamers. They need to establish something as they have sucked rocks the last month and don't want to go into the playoffs losing 4 straight.

But our OL sucks.   LT is one of the 3 most important positions on the team.

Ditto. I don't really think we can lose. IMO the worst of those picks (for us) would be Calvin Johnson, and even with that we get a freak WR. Personally I think Thomas is sounding more and more like the guy I want to see taken. Trading the crappy Indy pick we got w/ our other 2nd to move up and get a great playmaker on D would be my next hope.
